BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICAN NATIONAL COUNCIL
September 16, 2009
Growing up, I was a Cub Scout, then a Boy Scout, now I'm happy to say I'm a Cubmaster for my third year, with my 2 sons both in Cub Scouts.
Seeing the boys I'm responsible for growing, and seeing the pride they take in earning their awards is such a great experience! Boy Scouts of America, and all it's options for both boys & girls to get involved in really can help our youth grow into the leaders of tomorrow!
And the best part? You don't have to have a son/daughter that wants to be a scout to get involved! If you have the willingness to give a little bit of your time, you can help out. You can do anything from teaching a skill you have to becoming a leader and really get involved. To me, there is nothing better than to see the smile on a scout's face as they receive the recognition for the hard work they put in.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Seeing the boys grow into fine young men. Scouting gives boys (and girls with Explorer & Venturing Programs) a way to try things they may have never thought possible. It also teaches them about helping their fellow citizens and making new friends.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every week
