My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Global Roots, Seattle, WA, USA
I love the work they are doing globally helping the world's neediest orphanages and children with essential supplies. Beyond that, they have discovered the real secret to creating lasting change is in establishing programs and projects that empower local communities, humanitarians, and individuals. They are building greenhouses and children's gardens that provide sustainable nutriition so children can go to school, providing food education, building vocational training camps, schools & nurseries. They educate on water sanitation, HIV prevention, poultry farming, and set up solar cooking programs. l like that their programs will have lasting impact. I am impressed that that 92% of their donations went to projects last year. Before donating I looked at their 990 and see they do not take any huge salaries. In fact I saw no salaries! I met the founder, Rick Montgomery who seems to be a true humanitarian. I'm happy to see this non-profit is growing and look forward to see their continued good works.
