Any Soldier Inc.
November 3, 2011

I have been supporting deployed soldiers through AnySoldier.com since Dec. 2006. By support, I mean, letters and care packages. I decide what to send by what the soldier posts approximately every fifty days. I have sent MANY letters and when I can afford to send a package, I have sent, snacks, socks, magazines, national newspapers, pens, notepaper, and items too numerous to mention....I simply try to send what the soldier has asked for.
I never expect an answer to my letters and support (the soldiers are too busy staying alive in an often hostile environment!). If I do hear from them, I am on cloud nine!!! :-) I drop all other mail to read their letter or email!!!
I have been fortunate to have met five members of the military that I have supported....a real honor!!! One Army soldier was like my own child...he called me mom and I became very close to him. My husband has been supportive of me and my soldier "adoptions"and has even driven me to meet some of them.
I would recommend this nonprofit to anyone...it is NOT a dating service, it is NOT a pen pal service (though often soldiers WILL write back and you can choose soldiers that request pen pals if you want). This is not a political site. This is about support for our individual military members, no matter what your views of the war....I try to figure out ways to put a smile on their faces, because I know that they are often in some tense situations.

I would definitely rate AnySoldier, Inc. with FIVE STARS.....it is simply one of the best things I have ever done in my life.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

meeting soldiers that I have supported. They have expressed gratitude for my support. I know that my support meant something to them. The letters of gratitude from many others, I have kept all these years....they still bring a smile to my face. I KNOW that what little I have done has made a difference.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

simply advertise more so that more people would know about this wonderful organization!
