For the past 11 years, I have worked directly with Project GRAD as a teacher in Atlanta Public Schools high schools served by GRAD and Summer Institute teacher. For the last four of these years, I have served as the GRAD Summer Institute Site Coordinator at our partner institution, Emory University. I have seen, through varied lenses, the deep and strategic impact that GRAD has had on the Atlanta Public Schools at the high school level. GRAD has greatly influenced students, parents, business/community leaders, administrators, teachers and higher education partners to be more focused on the foundational preparation needed to undergird the dream of going to college. GRAD is an effective, practical, and valuable reform within its target ausdience schools.
MY ROLE:Professional with expertise in this field
