My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Covenant House, New York, NY, USA
I have beening making donations to Covenant House for approximately five years or so.I know that this organization makes a big difference in the lives of the kids it impacts. I formally myself having my entire family being homeless know what their experience is like. But I am glad that just as I had my family through those trying times they have a family at Covenant House. They don't have to face it alone. What's sad is so many homeless kids fall victim to the streets but through this organization they can have hope. I know that its God's grace that keep such a charity running. It is God the gives them the ability to truly help. It is God who allow these sort of organizations and all involved to be an extension of his hand and grace. To be able to reach those who may be losing hope, who needs to feel the hand of his grace.

So far my experience with any and all staff has been one of compassion and resilance. They have always seemed to work tirelessly to get out their message and needs. They are angels on earth.

If the organization had 10 million bucks it could make an even greater difference and impact. I feel they would have the resources to truly reach even more kids. They could do more for the kids they help. Maybe be able to help with educational expenses.
Ways to make it better...
My experience has always been the best so I have no suggestions of how it could be better.

The biggest challenges facing this organization is likely the lack of financial support. Funds are likely weighing thin as the economy is taking quite a hit for some time now. So I feel like mone and space as well as supplies are the biggest challenges.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I love this organization. It is close to my heart because I know the plight of the homeless. I hope that maybe they could expand a bit beyond just the homeless teen and pull in the homeless families, children, as well as the elderly.
