Girls Write Now, Inc.
September 1, 2009
When I was little, I wrote one story after another. However, I did not have classes in school that would help me improve my skills. Then everything started when I joined Girls Write Now in 10th grade. Not only did I gain useful critic from my mentors over the last three years, I've also gained a family of strong girls and women who would listen to whatever problems I had. If not for Girls Write Now, I would not have had the chance to gain recognition in contests like the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards either. This is an awesome program that have strongly supported me in doing what I've always wanted, and it is still continuing to do so for many other girls. My time spent in this program will never be forgotten.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the opportunities and friendships I gained. By the time I left this program for college, I already feel like a professional writer without actually being one!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
always willing to help! Everybody there is so cool and friendly; they make the workshops and meetings a party every time :).
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
Client Served & I was a mentee for three years.
