Assistance League of Riverside
August 29, 2009

I enjoy volunteering at the Assistance League Thrift store. This is one of our fundraisers in order to help our children by providing the following services: 1. Operation School Bell-which provides new clothing, sanitary kits, backpacks etc. to our needy children. 2. Operation Snack Attack-provides nutritional snack bags to homeless children. 3. Operation College Bound-provides SAT study guides to local schools for students preparing for college entrance exams. 4. Operation BEAR PALS-distributes new teddy bears and gently used stuffed animals to victims of abuse, accident and trauma. These are just a few of the philanthropic programs of Assistance League of Riverside. I feel the hours spent working in the thrift store is time well spent. Lulu Ramos

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Operation School Bell-seeing the faces of the children that are referred by their schools. Operation Snack Attack-filling and delivering the bags to different schools and receiving the praise by school staff and parents.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

In interacting with the children and our customers in the thrift store.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

my experience has been in meeting and working with committed women who work hard on the different committees and board. Dedicated volunteers whose sole purpose is to help, uplift and promote the well being of children.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Increase all of our current services, including an increase in Scholarships for the Burn Institute and High School Seniors.
