What's amazing about TIP is the DreamMaker Program. It literally makes your dreams come true. They become your "host" non-profit so that you can start up one of your own. No messy tax-id to handle or insurance purchases. You become a non-profit overnight rather than months.

NCYLS has given me opportunities beyond my years. Not only as sophomore participant but also as a professional working with a non-profit. I have held director roles for a Bay Area non-profit at a young age; something not many can say. What amazes me most about this group is how hard we work to make sure the participants never spend a dime. When I attended, my paperwork didn't get filed and I technically wasn't signed up. But I had my copies with me and they took me in, no hesitations! No late fee. No "we can't afford it." NCYLS just wants teenagers to find hope in themselves and passion for whatever makes them happy. We can truly change the world with this.

I attended this seminar in 2005 and have served on the committee since. It not only taught me how to be confident in myself as a teenager but molded my adulthood for professionalism. It gave me opportunities that no other organization I've worked for could hold a light to! The fact it is completely FREE for participants still floors me.

Role:  Volunteer & I was a participant and now am a director of one of the subcommittees.
