Riding Star Ranch, Inc.
August 19, 2011
My daughter is currently 10 years old and has always been a horse lover. I am a single mom and have always taken her to watch the horses at open fields in Punta Gorda, Fl . Until January of 2011, we had come across a flyer for Riding Star Ranch. My daughter, Kaitlyn began lessons in February 2011. She is very dedicated to these horses. In addition, her grades have come up in school to straight A’s. She strives hard to achieve in school so she is able to be with the horses on the weekend. Moreover, riding at Riding Star Ranch, has given her a goal to become a veternarian and own her own horse one day. While at the ranch, she is learning about horses and how to take care of them more than I ever thought she would. Kaitlyn’s dream is to become a teenager and volunteer at Riding Star Ranch to help with the horses. Although, we do not have a lot of money and struggle through these rough economic times, I strive to keep her with the ranch because it sets her expectations high for herself with something she loves to do. Kaitlyn has recently brought to my attention, how she would like to do “horse gymnastics”! I hope in the near future after going through this program of learning about horses and how to ride, riding Star Ranch will be around so she can get that experience too. The Staff at Riding Star Ranch has became her new family along with the horses. If she was able to be there 7 days a week, she would be. She enjoys helping there when she can, and would do anything if had to do with the horses (including cleaning out the stalls). Riding Star Ranch has given Kaitlyn great motivation to do good in school and to learn about horses, it also gives her the chance to learn responsibility along with keeping her active.
Riding Star Ranch was a great dream for Kaitlyn and I that had become true reality in February of 2011.
Thank you for taking the time to hear how Kaitlyn’s dreams have come true. Thank you Riding Star Ranch!
