I've attended classes, volunteered and adopted family pets from the Animal Humane Society since I was a kid (30+ years). It is a wonderful, compassionate organization that truly cares about animal welfare.

What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?
They recently completed a volunteer survey and have been making a number of changes to improve the volunteer experience. I have nothing on my "wish list."
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
We've fostered close to 100 animals and it has been incredibly fun and rewarding to know all of these animals have found permanent homes. In addition, I have been able to learn more about animal welfare legislation in Minnesota and the difficult process of trying to "change the system."
