Peace X Peace
July 23, 2011

PeacexPeace came to my alma mater, Marygrove College, a few years ago where I was introduced to this dynamic organization. I live in a small community about an hour from Detroit so being able to connect on-line to women around the world who are interested in peace and justice and helping others was directly beneficial. PeacexPeace is open 24/7, no time spent commuting, no money on gasoline! In Feb 2009, I was able to visit the offices of PxP in Wash DC and introduced the Director of The Rebuilding Alliance, Donna Baranski-Walker to the staff.
I support TRA with their campaign: "I Care About Peace, I Care About Al Aqaba," and PeacexPeace supports me and others like me who have their own peace projects. We support one another.

With our US Gov't having 900 military bases around the world, it's wonderful having PeacexPeace at my fingertips with access to thousands of women around the world waging peace. Thank you, Patricia Smith Melton and Mary Liepold and all the other wonderful staff who inspire and support the work of peace and justice.

With much gratitude,
Mares Hirchert

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Encouraged to write about my involvement with the non-profit organization, The Rebuilding Alliance, and able to meet the staff of PeacexPeace in Wash DC.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I still find the website confusing and not user friendly for actual communication between the members of the same group.

MY ROLE:
Volunteer & "I Care About Peace, I Care About Al Aqaba" Campaign to help a small village in the West Bank, Palestine, its kindergarten of 130 children issued demolition orders against it.
