I love volunteering with this organization! The women are very friendly and inviting. Everyone is dedicated to empowering themselves and those around them. There is a lot of potential for this organization to grow and develop since they are grassroots.
I would love to see more empowerment and mentorship classes/forums for adult women in the community. Maybe a quarterly book club or movie night would bring women together to discuss the issues that impact not only or daughters, but us as well.

Volunteering in the Sparkle Mentorship Program has allowed me to make a noticeable impact on young girls lives. I see them asking questions and making better informed decisions.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Add more bonding/social opportunities that allow for open, honest discussion between the ladies of the Diamonds of Distinction because it is so effective when used in the mentorship program.

It allowed me to open up and share my personal experiences to assist young people. Also volunteering during Angel Tree and Soup Kitchen allowed me to feel a sense of paying it forward to my community.

Volunteer & Served dinner at Soup Kitchen and Emergency Youth Shelter, wrapped Christmas gifts with Angel Tree, as well as mentored at-risk girls at Sparkle Program.
