Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy
August 14, 2009
In 2001, I began mentoring youth at local schools because of the outreach made through the Florida Mentoring Partnership, an effort now managed by the Volunteer USA Foundation. To this day, I continue to see the oustanding strides being made by the programs this organization offers. Whether it's serving teens and youth through their Teen Trendsetters Reading Mentors program, or serving families and their children through their many literacy efforts, I know for a fact Volunteer USA is making a difference in many lives.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The support of many partners who work together to make sure children in need are cared for.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
so committed to the cause, putting their passion in action.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Reach hundreds of thousands more parents and children with the resources needed to succeed in school and life.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every week
