Prostate Cancer International

If you have prostate cancer or think you might have prostate cancer, and you want to learn about the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, then this is the internet site you must visit. What's unique about the site is the analysis and comments of "Sitemaster", who is a professional medical communications specialist extremely knowledgeable about prostate cancer. You can also ask Sitemaster questions about your personal situation and he will promptly respond with an unbiased, informative answer. For those interested, the site also offers social networking opportunities, and links to other sites related to prostate cancer research, clinical trials, and nationally adopted diagnosis and treatment standards.

As a person who has advanced prostate cancer, Prostate Cancer International (PCI) has provided me with invaluable unbiased, intellectually honest, and accurate information, comment, interaction, insight, and knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Complicated medical studies, abstracts, opinions, surveys, and articles are reveiwed by PCI and are translated into into easily understandable lay terms. PCI also sponsors an interactive social network where patients, caregivers, experts and the sitemaster can exchange information and obtain answers to difficult questions.

The New Prostate Cancer Infolink communicates the most current medical information on prostate cancer, including abstracts, conferences, research papers, FDA announcements, clinical trials, and general information. In addition, the "Sitemaster" provides excellent analysis of and insight into the information communicated. For example, when Provenge was approved by the FDA, Sitemaster discussed the relative cost of Provenge compared to the possible benefits, the available alternative treatments, the phase III clinical trial results, and the future of the treatment. I would not have fully understood the issues relating to Provenge if the Sitemaster had not posted the discussion. Sitemaster's discussion is unbiased and honest.
