My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Nor Cal Aids Cycle, Sacramento, CA, USA
This has been my third year of involvement with the NorCal AIDS Cycle. My first year was as a crew member and the past two years as a rider.
As a person who has lived with HIV, I have been so happy to participate in this particular event and be able to see where my money is going to in terms of services in the Sac Valley area. I know that 80 - 85% of the monies raised is going to where it is needed most..... to our local providers.
NCAC is like a family all pulling together for one common goal. We come from all walks of life for this cause and it is a beautiful, beautiful thing! I am signed up for next year, and would not miss it for anything.
I got to be part of a group that raised over a quarter of a million dollars this year to help educate folks and fight HIV/AIDS!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Personal growth I have experienced by being part of this selfless machine working to help prevent the spread of AIDS/HIV in the Sacramento Valley area. Not to mention the physical benefits I have received through cycling. The group has been awesome in the encouragement and support department as far as supporting one another.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
My only change would be to help it grow. We are on a great path I feel, especially after this past year.
