My wife and I have been involved in We Spark for almost 3 years. She as a stage 4 metastatic colon cancer patient and I as a caregiver. Both of us rarely miss our respective Tuesday meetings in Santa Clarita. It gives us support, comfort and information from people who are in the same boat as we are.And moderated by a professional versed in these issues. It's a place we can go to get away from the daily bombardment of healthcare, caregiving and well wishing advice of well meaning people. We also participate in yoga classes and various fund raising, golf and fund raising walks. We Spark has given us much comfort and support.Life would have been much more difficult without them. We Spark has been a tremendous help to my wife as a cancer patient and myself as a caregiver. We each attend our respective weekly group meetings which has helped us through our 2 year ordeal. We also participate in Yoga twice per week and ny wife attends several other available group gatherings. Our lives have been much more tolerable with We Spark showing us the way.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The effect it has on people after a few group sessions. The quality of people running the group sessions[LCSW]as well as the admin staff.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Advertise the services offered in newprint,Magazines or local TV.However,I don't know what they can afford.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The caregiver weekly group meetings.Feels as though we have all bonded.Gain strength from each other.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Competent and obviously happy to be doing what they are doing.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Advertise as previously stated. They could expand the locations and increase the size of existing locations.

Ways to make it better...

I have no answer for this question.Satisfied with the current level of services offered.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Maintaining a participant base as some people lose the battle.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I expect to continue to be active in this organization even if I no longer need their services as a caregiver or bereaver if that day were to come.
