Mission4Maureen
August 1, 2009

No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. A catchy phrase, but how many people actually take it seriously? How many think, I'll leave it up to someone else? I don't have the time. It's a busy day at work today. I'm too busy once I get home. Or...I want to relax. I want to just do nothing. In reading the stories of patients on the Mission4Maureen website, I am always struck by how many of them were just living normal lives. Driving along...had a sinus infection...had a headache...got blurry vision. They went to the doctor or they brought their child to the doctor and heard the words "brain tumor." The sad truth is that by the time you hear those words, it is almost too late to be saved. But these patients fight and live and hope....that everyone will do something to help them and others like them. I can't always contribute as much as I'd like but I can support the good works of Mission4Maureen by telling its story.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

How many families get caught up on their bills and get collectors off their backs. Some patients write about how Mission4Maureen helped them keep their home. Those are major accomplishments.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

More feedback

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help all it's patients sooner and could also help to fund research for better treatments.

Ways to make it better...

I could have given more.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

publicity and the down economy. People don't seem to have the same dollars to give as they once did, yet the patients still need the same (or more) help.
