I have attended 3 Artposiums, including being the local coordinator for the Artposium in Steamboat Springs. Everyone involved in the organization is incredibly dedicated, talented and inspiring. They are creative "out-of-the-box" thinkers with an uncanny ability to find common threads linking topics, ideas and people together to include ART in the mix.
The Great!
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Show the skeptics out there that art and artists have much to contribute to the way our society. These creative thinkers can offer new ideas and make communities more vibrant, more sustaining. Colorado Art Ranch facilitates these opportunities.
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Riding it our through a difficult economy. These are times when the arts get overlooked for what appears to be more pressing, such as disaster relief, poverty, etc. People have less money for charitable donations as well as less time to volunteer .
MY ROLE: I was a Volunteer & Coordinated the Steamboat Artposium and have offered input and support.
