As an employee of New Futures, I've had the opportunity to meet many of the youth who have been supported by New Futures. Despite facing difficult challenges already in their young lives that many of us could not even imagine, they are positive and determined to make something of themselves. The support New Futures provides, both in terms of believing in them and supporting them financially, means the world to them. It is truly inspiring to see them progress and succeed.
The Great!
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... being inspired by the determination and positive attitudes of the youth.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... truly dedicated to their mission.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... help about 1,000 low income youth in DC get the training or education they need to make a living wage in today's world.
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... the need for more funding in order to be able to help more students.
