ONE BRICK

I love love love one brick! All you have to do is go to their website, sign up for a fun one-time event and go volunteer! It is super easy and the one brick crew is awesome! By making volunteering low commitment, someone can volunteer once a year, once in a while, or everyday if they wanted to! They also make volunteering fun and exciting by making it social--we usually go out to eat afterwards and there is music playing in the background sometimes. No matter what you are interested in, there is a project open for you!

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... all kinds of different places: in education, in the arts, in feeding the needy, in running one time events, etc.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... that it makes volunteering fun and guilt-free! I can go when I want to things and not sign up when I don't feel like it
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... AWEEEESOME! Everyone is so much fun! (:
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... do a lot of great things and spawn more one-bricks!
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... there were more events to sign up for--even though there are a lot of events, they get filled too fast by awesome enthusiastic volunteers!

MY ROLE:
I was a Volunteer & Volunteer at various events for education, hunger, culture, etc

I love Kiva! It only takes $25 to make a difference in someone's life! I have actually sent Kiva loans to all my friends for christmas presents :)

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... helping lift people out of poverty and enhance their lives
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... how much impact I feel like I have with only $25
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... help end all poverty!
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... there were more people to give loans to. At one point, I only saw like 3 people. I guess this is a good thing since that means that a lot of other people are giving loans.
  • If I ran this organization, I would... advertise more! and hold more events/fundraisers
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... people don't know about it

MY ROLE:
I was a Volunteer & Loaned money
