My wife and I have been associated with SARCC for over 15 years. I have never know such a dedicated group of individuals, from the staff to the board to the volunteers. Not only do they provide first rate counseling and referal services, the community education and advocacy around sexual violence has been successful in moving the issue out of the shadows. Caring and compasion is wonderful, but results are what count. SARCC has the results to prove their value in the community. Thousands of sexual violence victims have been able to overcome their horrific experiences and move forward to become healthy, caring and productive members of society; raisng their own families and breaking the cycle of violence.

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... the thousands of women, children and men who have been able to heal and regain their lives.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... the dedication and passion from the staff, board and voluteers.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... experienced, knowledgable and dedicated.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... have an immense impact. Extra money will not stop sexual violence completely, but it can provide expanded services in the educational and preventive sectors and go a long way to reducing the number of incidents.
Ways to make it better!
  • If I ran this organization, I would... hire back all the existing staff and then fire myself.
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... funding, ongoing stereotypes and attitudes about sexual violence and a society that is increasingly more desensitized to sex.
  • One thing I'd also say is that... I wish there were more people in the world like those that run and work with SARCC.
