My son loves CAMP so much! He's been attending for nine years and the counselors and staff are amazing and he gets to do so many activities he doesn't get to do elsewhere. He has so much confidence when he goes to CAMP and when he's there, he's truly in his happy place! Because of CAMP, my son understands there are people out there who care about him!

Volunteered, fundraised and donated to this org for well over a decade, then the CEO & Board lied about how they were using donations & committed $50 million to help build a medical school at the University of Texas. Feels like fraud when you collect money claiming to use it as direct help for cancer survivors then do something totally different. Would never give to an org that does that.

I've visited these folks a couple of times and keep up with them online. I've sponsored Romulus for a few years now I'm very impressed by their hard work and dedication to these magnificent animals. The wolves are happy and healthy thanx to their TLC Hats off to SFWS! Much live!

Hello, I have attempted many times to get some kind of counseling, help with my situation in a abusive household for the past 22 years. I live in Phoenix AZ and reached out to Phoenix Coalition for DV and was treated so horribly bad. For one it took at least 4 month after I tried reaching out for help and trying to escape my situation. When I finally did I felt as though I was the abuser and I was being judged for being in this situation. The supervisor Danielle and worker Diane Rangel were so cold to me in their emails and on the phone. No compassion or empathy at all. After approving me for funds to move into a new place and escape this abuse I was denied because of my credit I was so heartbroken it was my chance. So I asked for request to help me with my car payment I got so far behind because of my husband feeling that I would somehow leave him having a job he sabotage every job I’ve had but I was just offered a new job with good money and wanted to make a change before I started the job. My car was way behind in payments and if I couldn’t do that I needed to save my car because that was my way of escaping and getting to my job. I let them know that I was months behind, and they were about to repossess it and I kept getting the runaround they kept saying that the invoice from the car lienholder was saying something it didn’t, and I had to go back and explain everything to them sent letters to them. They ended up just taking their time and my car was repossessed yesterday and I got no help from them like I said before no empathy nothing they just pretty much said now we can’t help you. We can get you another car, I’m so humiliated and I start my job in a week. I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I have no car to get to work. I have no money to get to work I’m scared and I was treated like I was the abuser. I feel like I was being judged more than anything they were horrible. I would advise anyone in Phoenix Arizona not to go there if you need help of somewhere else.

This place would be good if they hired staff that was more qualified to carry out there mission. My stay was uncomfortable, filled with drama and little empathy.

Candlelighters is a amazing non-profit organization. They engage the community, provide endless support and resources to families, and bring amazing amounts of joy to families of children with cancer.

I started volunteering here because I love animals and wanted to learn more about horses. All the volunteers here feel like a community and everyone is welcome. The children we work with all have some type of diagnosis and are trying to overcome a goal each day.

My name is Sebrina and I have worked with the school of pharmacy alumni as a volunteer on several projects. The members are very friendly and professional. The organization is constantly trying to help out pharmacy students and organize events to unify pharmacy alumni members.

The Endowment Fund and Legacy Society provide annual funding for home delivered meals. This is a great way to make sure my donations are used to provide meals for many years to come.

They falsely and deceptively state that they possess a "Platinum Seal of Transparency" from the nonprofit watchdog organization GuideStar, which lends the impression of safety, openness, and accountability.<br><br>In addition, the organization's president and founder, was detained and imprisoned on five counts of tax offenses due to his links to terrorism and dishonesty with the IRS.<br>

The scholarship I received from this organization was very helpful and the selection process was very fair. Not only did they choose someone without first looking at the superficial identifications, they chose people that would not likely be recipients of other scholarships. They chose those that were deserving, hardworking, and well-rounded.

This is such an incredible place for men to truly heal and change the course of their lives.

Escape facilitated a great session on Discipline not punishment at Spring Woods Middle School last year. It was engaging and applicable. They are a great organization!

As a former staff member and current volunteer with the Central Dallas Ministries education department, I have been consistently challenged and inspired over the past 6 by the commitment, innovative thinking, and quality programming provided by the leaders of this organization. I am most familiar with the work of the education department led by Dr. Janet Morrison. Dr. Morrison ensures that members of the community play the most important role in the goals and work of the programs under her leadership. The education department maintains a focus on the capacity of the parents and students in the community to find solutions and to improve neighborhoods themselves. Therefore parents and students are engaged and connected in meaningful ways. There is a serious focus on innovative ways of supporting and supplementing quality education, through creative uses of technology and project-based learning within the after school and summer environment. The education department seeks to build rapport and relationships with the neighborhood school and advocates for students by raising awareness about various public policy issues and concerns. The education department emphasizes college-readiness and consistently guides students toward those goals through college-visits and tours in all programs and other college-readiness efforts in the MTU and Teen U programs. Dr. Morrison ensures that the education department is committed to excellence in every aspect, from the staff chosen to lead the programs, to the professional development of the staff, to the evaluation of staff as well as program outcomes, to the implementation of research-based practices and innovative technology, to valuing and engaging the parents, students, and community in every way. All programs are based on an unwavering belief that all children have the capacity to learn and that all children deserve opportunities to receive a quality education and go prepared to college, regardless of income level or background. From the After School Academy, summer program, to Teen U, to Mid-Teen U, to Digital Connectors and Connect U, to the Roseland Library/Bookstore, the CDM education department is doing wonderful things in the Roseland community and making good use of all resources designated to these programs. I highly recommend this organization and its goals and work.

We are in the process of changing our name to Harris Resources Foundation, supporting the organization, Harris County Resources for Children and Adults. Our focus is still providing support services to enhance the lives of children and adults served by the Harris County Resources, but the focus is on those children and adults who HAVE NOT penetrated the protective service or juvenile probation system--to provide resources to keep them stable, productive and living quality lives. And even those who are in the system, we can offer services to help them transition out and live productive lives. Harris Resources Foundation--A Source of HOPE!! This organization is so poorly ran. Week to week schedules for football. Last minute changes. The board members have really horrible attitudes nobody can produce any actual answers or proof as to where the parents money is being spent. Very disorganized very ghetto. Parents fighting over the games. Horrible do no put your kids in this league send them else where

My husband, Stuart Williamson, began work to have Habitat for Humanity in Walker County, Texas in 1983. <br>The organization has continued ever since, building new homes to help families who live in less desirable <br>housing. We know that children who move into larger, more comfortable housing begin improving their <br>grades in school almost immediately. Stuart has passed away but I sincerely hope the community that has continued building houses for this purpose for more than 30 years will continue this worthwhile project. <br> <br>Mrs. Stuart Williamson

Lubbock, TX is 350 miles from any other cities of any significant size. Lubbock did not have a visible art presence until the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, LHUCA, came into being through the hard work and perseverance of a great many dedicated individuals. LHUCA has become a major influence for the arts in this area and is rapidly gaining prestige throughout the state. LHUCA's First Friday Art Trail has been drawing crowds of as many as 4,000 and those crowds continue to grow as the event becomes more textured. Because of LHUCA success other cultural based non profits are scrambling to move into Lubbock's down town area and we are rapidly growing a vital and sustainable arts district.

Teen Health Clinic Baylor College of Mediicineprovides primary care to teen age girls at the county hopsital and sites in the schools and community setting. the Teen Healthclinic is what community outreach should provide. Often we are taught that clinic or community care is haphazard at best takes a long time and doesnt provide the service required. If you want to see how a community clinic can run as a concierge service go to one of the Teen Health Sites. Service is professional timely and accurate with visits performed on time and with a smile. I would like to see this as good in the for profit or even non profit sector. Congratulations to Dr. Peggy Smith and her team for providing this type of service for hte communtiy.

The Athena Art Project supports the artist endeavors of women. Each fall they produce a day-long music festival featuring independent women musicians. It takes place in theatrical district in Houston, Texas. Along with a diverse lineup of musical performances, festival goers can also experience great food and beverage as well as shop a vendor market place that features a number of artisans and community organizations. <br> <br>They bring in some great musicians and it's always a lot of fun to see old friends.

This is a organization with integrity and a solid vision to help abused and abandoned children. I know this organization gives it's very best to save the lives of children.
