Erika from Open doors helped me move into my first apartment along with providing appliances for me! Really great people working here that go beyond for others!

My brother is severely autistic, and attended ALG for several years as a child and teenager. It is peerless in the field of autism education. Dedicated and well-trained teachers and staff, and well organized for funding, outreach, and parent support. Really cannot say enough for how much of a difference they made in my family's life. They helped my brother develop a skill set that significantly augmented his ability to communicate with us, and gave him the building blocks and skills to live a happier life.

As a Cultural Arts Representative at a large middle school in Northern NJ, I was able to bring a Residency from Storytelling Arts Inc to our students twice. On the second year, through a grant obtained by Storytelling Arts Inc, we added a Professional Development component for the English Department teachers. The program is fabulous, the Storytellers and their stories really engage with the kids, and the feedback from students and teachers as well was very positive. Based on my ten years as a cultural arts rep for my children school district, I highly recommend their in-school Residencies.

55 Kipling Center is one of the best places for seniors! They always have an activity or outing going on. Always clean and decorated beautifully.<br>The staff headed by Peggy Merli are warm and welcoming!

Gorgeous. Peaceful. Interesting. Beckoning. A walk through Old Pine Farm Natural Lands Trust will surely leave you peaceful, for its views from the edge of Big Timber Creek are rare ones. One can see only nature. Maintained by volunteers, the paths are a pleasure to walk.A visit here will be well rewarded.

This nonprofit is golden. They are bringing much needed awareness to the crisis in the local waterway to the local citizens. Thank you!

The warmth of the congregation was wonderful. It's not like any other church I have ever attended they are full of love and are so welcoming!

I picked up food that was donated from Table to Table and it was 4 days expired and the vegetable were very mush and bad. Unedible. This cannot be healthy.

For a small non profit, Bessie Green Community makes a difference in lives Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Bessie opens the doors of North Reformed Church, 510 Broad Street, Newark to welcome in people who need a hearty breakfast and a warm lunch. It is called the Red Door by the friends who come frequently. That is because the church has a big red door. People come in about 9 or 9:30 for coffee and breakfast put together by Bruce Graham the chef. They can stick around and read the paper, talk with friends or put their head on the table and catch a few zzzzz's. Lunch is delicious and served at 11:30 or 12. <br><br>If you're not hungry but need some groceries to take home for hungry kids, there is a food pantry and someone, usually Pedro will round up a bag for you. <br><br>A well stocked Clothing Barn is on the second floor and is open on Tuesday's and Thursdays. We had a huge selection of winter coats that were welcomed and given out in record time. So thankful for all the folk that helped stock our winter selection.

I was in a foreign country when I needed an emergency surgery. However I didn't know where to go. That's when I contacted Magen lecholeh and they set up everything for me and even got my insurance to cover it! All free of charge!

Bancroft is the most caring, professional, charitable organization that I have encountered in my long life. Not only do the employees give freely of their time, expertise and love, but they contribute their own money and human warmth to help make their clients' lives happy. Every person is important; every person has a future; every person is respected. " Bancroft. One World. For Everyone." is their motto that is lived everyday. You would do well to contribute to their cause and I am sure that you will be pleased to see the results of your donations.

This facility is by far the worst recovery program I have ever experienced. Although I was in network with my insurance, I was required to pay full price instead of my co-pay. To this day, every statement I get from this facility is incorrect, and is even addressed to the wrong person. I have received receipts with credit card numbers I do not own and I have received statements that have incorrect payment amounts (thank god I kept my receipts). Although recovery facilities are required by law to display their policy and procedures manual to the general public, I was denied access to this document upon request and was told to give a written request to their lawyer. When I asked for their lawyers information, they failed to provide me with it. Despite all of these book keeping and financial issues, I found the staff to be very hostile and to treat their clients like criminals. I have witnessed my fellow clients be threatened to put their cell phones away, and have been subjected to group ridicule in which the group host did nothing to stop. Most of the people that host the group sessions are ex drug addicts, with no formal psychology training, only training in drug abuse. It is apparent that they are under-qualified for treating a problem as complex as addiction. Upon my intake, I was never given a clear date of completion, nor terms of completion. I was simply told to keep going until they determined I was "cured". After several months of "treatment", I found myself watching the same out-dated anti-drug movie from the 70s, over and over and over again. For the majority of us, this place is not conducive for a recovery environment, however, I can't speak for everyone. The whole atmosphere there is more of a punitive and intimidating environment rather than one of true support and care.

This is an excellent resident theater company in Freehold, NJ. The Center Players provide high-quality, affordable entertainment to the local community, thereby driving the economy in the area and providing an outlet for children, teens and adults to perform and preserve the arts. I highly recommend this organization!

The NFB of NJ is avery helpful organization for the blind and visually impaired. They provide specific information regarding special training in all areas for the blind including personal living skills i.e. cooking, cleaning, travel etc. They provide sholarships to worthy blind and VI students. They offer infirmation about almost any area of life activity
