This was a terrible hoarding situation with 130+ equines that <br>suffered from not enough food, hoof care and dental care. <br>There was minimal vet care also. The parasite infestation <br>and mange infestation was terrible throughout the herd causing <br>many to rub their hair off and create sores on their bodies <br>while baking in the sun with no hair protection. <br>I thank Hoof Prints of the Heart for stepping in to remove, <br>and provide all the necessary needs for the animals. <br>The founder of Hacienda de los Milagros, Wynne Zaugg, a known <br>hoarder is attempting to start another sanctuary and has <br>already taken in several horses and is begging for donations. <br>I urge all of you generous animal loving donors to NOT <br>give this man any money, this will only enable him to take <br>more animals and the suffering will start all over again.

On July 5, 2025 I called The Animal League of Green Valley (TALGV). I spoke to someone about adopting a 13 pound, 3 year old chihuahua that I had seen on their web site. I was told that someone had a hold on the dog and were going to come in on the 7th to meet the dog, but they canceled. I was then told that I couldn't place a hold over the phone and to come in on the 6th at 10am if I wanted a chance to adopt it. I filled out the online application and went to see the dog on the 6th. I Liked the dog and told the work I wanted to adopt him. The worker said I had to file out the application. I told her I did and handed it to her. She then took it to the office. She returned and told me the only concern was that my yard wasn't fenced. I then told her that I lived a a 55+ community that was completely fenced. She went back to the office a then returned and said that was fine and I could adopt the dog.<br><br> Being the 4th of July weekend they were not adopting out any animals till the 7th which I understood. On the 7th I made the 45 minute one way trip back to the shelter. I arrived for my 11am appointment. A worker lead me back to the office. She opened the the to let me enter. I made it just inside the door in the hallway and was stop by a person. The first thing she said was I am not adopting that dog to you. I was in shock. I said that the day before I was told that I could adopt the dog. She then made the statement (how are you going to play with and walk the dog. You need a senior dog). She said that the dog is a very active dog and that is why the lady that adopted him returned him. She then stated the previous lady said the dog needed the be with someone that has kids or other dogs. Usually rescues always request no children when it comes to chihuahuas. If the lady that previously adopted the dog was such an expert then why did she adopt a very active dog. Maybe she needed a senior dog.<br><br> I then said why is it was an issue today and not yesterday. She said because she had not had a chance to meet me. I feel that she still didn't meet me because she never spoke to me before saying she would not adopt the dog to me. What it comes down to is she saw I was old, fat, disabled and walked slowly.<br><br> I feel very humiliated, discriminated against and judged. If anyone reading this fits into any of those categories I would not try to adopt at this organization. By the way her name is Kim and says she is the president of the organization. There website says they do not discriminate. What a joke. She just proved she does. Look at the other reviews. I wish I had before I wasted my time.

Back in December of 2014 I was about 7 months pregnant I was completely alone and homeless on the streets of Tempe. I was literally sleeping in a bush. I was cold, hungry, frightened and worried about how I was going to survive from one day to the next. One day I was told about the iHelp program in Tempe and I went there. It was a God sent program that I believe literally saved the life of not only myself but my unborn baby as well. I got rest, showers and plenty of good food served to me by volunteers who were absolutely amazing! I'm forever grateful to iHelp program for being there for me during the darkest loneliest time of my life. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Shame to see such a good organization forget about those they're supposed to serve. They used to help pay for my power wheelchair and flu shots, but they stopped paying for anything helpful years ago. Yet they still ask me to donate my money to them and ask me to fundraise! Give your money elsewhere because they’re not doing anything to help us.

Orpheus is an amazing choir. Brook Larson, our Artistic Director (Conductor) is a true professional and has multiple Masters/Doctorates in music (Theory, Conducting). And he's entertaining and easy to get along with. I came into the choir without singing experience, and I'm pleased to say that I can now call myself a singer. <br> <br>The part I like most about Orpheus is the camaraderie with the other guys. We all share a love of music, and we enjoy the faces in the audience when we delight them with our program. Join us for a few minutes some night and listen to us practice. No commitment required. You'll love the experience - my guess is you'll fall in love and join the choir! <br>

Alot of illigal aliens, not sure why community supports, also notice some drug sales around premises. INS should be more aware.

I used to volunteer to help sort beans and package chilies for this amazing organization. Not only to they help keep the diversity of native seed varieties alive, they provide seeds for free to local tribes. Every year I love to purchase their native wildflower flowers seeds, chili-hot chocolate mixes, gourds and tepary beans. My garden overflows with native edible plants! This organization is worthy of you donation, and the money will be well spent.

As an older person, I find Planned Parenthood Arizona's emphasis upon confidentiality reassuring, as women my age are not usually thought of as sexually-active. This is a nonjudgmental, honest, and affordable place for me to get the healthcare and guidance I need to keep myself safe and healthy. Very reassuring!

What an incredible experience! Volunteering here was so empowering and I am so grateful a place like this exists.

I attended a wonderful conference put on by the Epilepsy Foundation of AZ that helped me a great deal as the wife of a husband with epilepsy. The speakers were wonderful (several Dr.'s who specialize in epilepsy) and several people who gave moving stories of their struggles with epilepsy. I found out at this conference that Dilantin can cause osteoporos, and I am so thankful for that information and subsequently had my husband tested and he does have osteoporosis. He had numerous falls and fractured his pelvis in one fall. I was so glad to learn this about his medication, and so glad for the support I got at the confetemce! This is a great organization and I hope it gets the recognition and support it deserves for being an advocate for all those living with epilepsy. Thank-you.

Founded in 1983, Chamber Music Sedona (CMS) strives to enrich the culture of Sedona, the Verde Valley and Northern Arizona by presenting outstanding classical music performed by the world’s finest musicians. CMS also promotes a love of learning and the performing arts through its music education programs. . CMS also offers in-school concerts and sponsors music lessons and a youth orchestra. CMS provides complimentary concert tickets to nonprofits, local first-line responders, residents of the local assisted living facility, the Sedona Public Library and to Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition. Artists from the CMS concert series perform special Concerts for Youth from area schools. As funding for the arts in schools has diminished, the need for support from organizations like CMS continues to grow. CMS works closely with school administrators and teachers to be sure the concerts, lessons and workshops create meaningful experiences for local children and their families.

I came to know MentorKids when I became a mentor about 3 years ago. I was blessed to be matched with an 11 year old boy and have seen God's hand at work in his life. The best way to describe the work that Mentorkids is doing is life changing. Every child is different, but having a caring, compassionate role model that is a source of stability and love in a life that may have little, is a wonderful thing. I'm grateful to be involved as a mentor and also thankful to help MentorKids grow and touch more lives as a board member. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how dedicated and selfless the management team is at MentorKids.

i have been involved with the organization for two years . what a motivating group of folks and programs. i always come away from a board meeting with a sense that we are making a difference. what a great trip this has been and our future is bright.

What better way to keep Marty and his music alive for all generations. Being on the West Coast, many folks just don't want to be connected to "country music". I want to show everyone what "country music" really can be. Listen to Marty sing, watch his vidios, and realize that he is a great entertainer, family man and fan pleaser. Keep him alive, he died too young, future generations need to know who this great entertainer was.

Rainbow Housing has been a tremendous blessing to our family. As a father, it can be challenging having your son living and working toward independence far from home, but Rainbow Housing provided the support, guidance, and encouragement he needed to succeed. Their staff consistently treated my son with dignity, respect, and genuine care. Through their programs and support, he was able to achieve important milestones, including obtaining reliable transportation, which has helped him continue moving forward toward his personal and professional goals. One of the highlights of our experience was being invited to Rainbow Housing's annual banquet in October 2025. Attending the event allowed our family to see firsthand the impact the organization has on the lives of so many individuals and families. The stories shared that evening were inspiring and reinforced the dedication, compassion, and commitment that Rainbow Housing brings to its mission every day.

TMA has a beautiful building filled with delightful art. The layout is unique while still being open and inviting. Unfortunately their formerly beautiful courtyard with red brick and welcoming trees has been replaced with a giant slab of cement to try and save on water. Now it looks sad and sterile, I feel bad for the future outdoor events.

Tu Nidito will always hold a special place in our hearts because one of the workers there was very, very kind to us. The intention of the organization is wonderful, and certainly if you don't have good friends or family to support you after the death of your child or parent, they are good place to turn to. <br><br>We are grateful for the support we received from them, as adults. However, we found their services for and policies around very young children were less than compassionate at times.<br><br>It also seemed to me, as a man, a little odd that their staff of a dozen people is exclusively female, and not diverse in other ways. This makes it harder for them to draw on the rich traditions of support we have here in Tucson. Additionally we were surprised that we never met anyone employed by Tu Nidito who had lost a child themselves.<br><br>Tu Nidito is one of a number of excellent groups in town. I would recommend checking them all out (for example, Compassionate Friends, Casa de Luz, TMC, KidsAid) and seeing which one fits your family.

Unfortunately, the contract with the town was not approved by all parties. This is a political problem that we hope will be solved soon.

All the details are too horrific to list<br>here. My mom has been left in the<br>hands of a sa predator due to the<br>incompetence and cowardice of these<br>so called care providers. She has been<br>left with a man I saw sa my best<br>friend when she was 15. I told them of<br>his history. I know him well. He's my<br>cousin. He's 60 now and hasn't<br>changed one bit.<br>He has a criminal past for assaults.<br>The Hospice workers were afraid to<br>come to the house alone because of<br>his menacing behavior. But nothing<br>was done.<br>I was told they saw red flags on day<br>one by the head of hospice.<br>That was 9 days ago. He's still in the<br>house. While I've had to leave for my<br>own safety <br>I watched him get up in their faces.<br>Still they did nothing<br>I was told by the social worker to get a<br>Pistol.!!! (Off the record of course)<br>Still they did nothing.<br>I had to leave my mothers side<br>because I feared for my safety. He sits<br>in my place.<br>Hospice lied through their teeth to<br>protect their interests. !!!<br>It was a disgusting display of<br>cowardice to watch them side with a<br>predator. the social worker should be so<br>ashamed of herself<br>Your job is to protect and instead you enabled a predator today (sept 2,2022) and scapegoated me for blowing the<br>whistle. What a rush that must have<br>been for my mom's abuser.<br>The social worker herself told me to<br>get a weapon!!!!<br>They know the truth but they don't<br>care.<br>I let hospice know he was wanting me<br>to get a pistol out of the safe for him<br>I'm the one with the key.<br>UNBELIEVABLY they told me if I did<br>that I'd be charged because he 'might'<br>be a felon.!!!<br>The nurses told me to give my mom<br>promathaz without her consent<br>I have been given repeated and<br>contradictory statements and<br>instructions.<br>Thanks to their incompetence and<br>cowardice my mom is spending her<br>last days on this earth with a<br>monster of a man whispering lies<br>in her ear. He touches her inappropriately when he thinks no<br>one's looking.<br>I reported all the abuse.<br>I won't return as I'm afraid for my<br>safety.<br>Again I watched that monster sa my<br>best friend when I was 15. He hasn't<br>changed.<br>How naive I was to think hospice<br>wanted to protect mom.<br>They're only protecting themselves.<br>I don’t know how they sleep at night The team has failed mom in every<br>way. And robbed me of precious little<br>time. I have been driven away from<br>mom when she needs me most. I am<br>sickened by what he's doing to her.<br>This will traumatize me for the rest of<br>my life.<br>

CFN is a fantastic organization that helps multiple charities every year. I've had the pleasure of attending their annual Gala in March for a few years now and I'm always impressed by their quality of events surrounding that weekend. Staff is attentive and makes everyone feel like a star.

Wonderful organization to help homeless families get back on their feet. It's a hand up not a hand out. Besides providing housing and essentials for homeless families, invaluable programs and services help ensure these families are able to make the best choices to ensure their future success. The staff are caring, giving, knowledgeable individuals.

A fantastic little arts center in a small arts community south of Tucson. The Center had a surprisingly wide array of art--contemporary, western--in virtually every medium. Admission is free. It's a beautiful place and the people were thoughtful, informed, and pleasant.
