Kansas City KS 66104 USA

Our mission is to utilize the arts to cultivate and develop self-empowerment, community service, higher education, and self-expression within adolescents aged 11-18.

In September 2009, we piloted an after school program in Kansas City, Kansas. With school support and volunteers we were able to build a great curriculum, bring in guest speakers, and transport students to various cultural events throughout the city. We've watch youth grow in their talents and become self motivated leaders among their peers. We've also worked hard to create partnerships and collaborations that will lead to making a impact with youth in the community. Collaborations with the YMCA and Poetry groups such as Om1 has led us to new heights.

YCN is a critical piece in our community. They give our youth chances to acknowledge their talent, then put it to good use. They work extremely hard trying to make a positive impact!

LuCretia Sullivan through Youth City Network YCN) has consistently given youth in our community an opportunity to showcase their talent, develop their skill, voice their opinions in a safe environment! I have attended a few of the events in support of YCN and they have been both entertaining and educational for the youth participants and the audience. Congratulations to LuCretia for sticking with her mission and congratulations to all of the students and families who are receiving this service.
