YoungLives reaches out to pregnant teenage girls and teen mothers to give them direction, support, hope and healing.  This is accomplished through a one-on-one mentoring program with caring adult women who commit to investing in the lives of a teenager and her baby for one year.  These mentors offer unconditional love and friendship while modeling healthy parenting and life skills that promote personal growth and responsibility.

In under two years of operation, more than 50 girls and their babies have already been positively impacted by the work of this ministry in t heir lives.  Some of their accomplishments include: 1 teen mom earned her GED, 2 earned their driver’s licenses and bought their first cars, 2 have completed their first year of college, 3 girls are enrolled in vocational schools, 3 have left physically abusive relationships, 3 teen moms are becoming “junior mentors”, 6 graduated from high school in 2009, 6 became certified in adult & infant CPR, 8 teen moms moved into their own apartments, 10 earned YMCA memberships by regularly attending Bible study, 19 teen moms have found part-time employment, and 30 teen moms attended budgeting, parenting, nutrition, and/or prenatal classes.
