World of Children Award improves the lives of vulnerable children by funding and elevating the most effective changemakers for children worldwide. Since 1998, we have given cash grants to Honorees who work on the ground running sustainable program for children. All of our Honorees have a track record for success and work for little or no pay. Many are risking their lives to help vulnerable children. Our Awards are bestowed only on those individuals with the highest performance standards. An international investigative agency leads an on-site investigation and independent audit of each final nominee. We set the gold standard in child advocacy. Our Board of Governors funds all overhead costs so your support will directly benefit the children our Honorees serve.
Over the past 18 years, we have provided more than $7 million to fund the vital work of more than 100 individuals serving children in over 140 countries around the world.
Geographic areas served:
humanitarian, medical care, education and children's rights.

Reviews for World of Children Award
I've been involved with creating the World of Children Award Honorree videos for going on three years now and it has been one of the most rewarding work experiences of my life. Getting the opportunity to speak with the honorees in depth and hear their amazing stories is inspiring. Knowing that there are organizations like Workd of Children Award that actively improve the lives of children all over the planet is equally inspiring. Aside from that, I just love the wonderful staff that bring all of it to life. Great Event, great cause.

I was asked to serve on the events committee for this year's WOC 2014 Awards Ceremony. I have worked with a lot of non-profits, and I was blown away by the passion, professionalism, and fiscal responsibility shown by the founders (Harry and Kay Leibowitz), the staff and the board of directors. The organization's mission, to improve the lives of vulnerable children by funding and elevating the most effective changemakers for children worldwide, is aspirational. The due diligence that is taken to vet the potential beneficiary organizations assures that the dollars raised are being effectively deployed to make tangible differences for children around the world. It is an honor and a privilege to support the work of World of Children.
