This was a fabulous weekend with relevant topics of discussion such as ethical leadership and financial literacy and advocating for oneself. The leaders come with fine credentials and the mixed age group was terrific. I felt like I instantly got a group of mentors! I would highly recommend this organization who do amazing work!

I went to the College Women's Leadership Retreat on April 23-25 hosted by the Woodhull Institute for Ethical Leadership. It was the best leadership retreat I have ever been to. The relaxing and safe country environment allowed me to focus on what the retreat offered and was a great time to spend away from school and works. Small group settings made us know each other in a short period of time, and we became good friends because of it. The content of the retreat was well designed. Various workshops were covered from professional development to personal growth. The yoga class, public speaking training, negotiation skills class, and financial management class all motivated me and made me more confident in terms of facing a professional environment. Since this is my senior year, all the skills and technique I learned there are crucial and I would definitely utilize them in the rest of my life. Last but not the least, because of the retreat, I met all those promising college students and successful young professionals. They are truly an inspiration and role model for me.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The attention on us. The resources they provide

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly, kind, helpful, and work with compassion

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

renovate their facilities, bring more speakers and mentors

Ways to make it better...

I know more about the history of the organization, and have more time

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Not that many people know this organization, even though they did so many

One thing I'd also say is that...

There are less and less nonprofits can offer so many help for young professionals, Woodhull definitely deserve more, they are truly helping people like me, who stand between college and work field.

The Woodhull L’dor v’dor retreat for me was a most pleasant surprise. While I anticipated meeting some wonderful people (and I did), I hadn’t anticipated being challenged to the degree that I was, and, on so many levels.

I came to the retreat confident in my ethical discernment, public speaking, and advocacy skills, but was pushed in a way that made me appreciate just how much more fully I could develop in all those areas. I attribute this not only to the high caliber of

Woodhull transformed my whole life perspective! I feel supported and empowered by the Woodhull community of Alumnae and staff. I attended a retreat well over a year ago and still today have fond memories of the experience I had. The workshops were practical and efficiently taught and the network of Woodhull women is fabulous! I recommend this retreat to all of my friends who are recent graduates or looking to enhance their professional lives!

There is no other organization leading the kind of ethical leadership retreats that the Woodhull Institute provides for women. The organization also has an active alumnae community that supports women's goals/dreams. I regularly refer women to Woodhull retreats, events and resources. Founders Naomi Wolf and Margot Magowan had a vision that has been realized through this organization.
