Lacivious Something, Women's Project's most recent production, is a shining example of their dedication to producing new, exciting dramatic works. Politically charged and poetic, the play and its performers tackled difficult situations in fresh ways. Their productions are, without fail, insightful, clever, and dynamic. Their work is, without exception, full of surprises and exciting discovery. The Women's Project's commitment to developing and producing new work by women playwrights, directors and producers is one of the most important things going on in theater today.

Women's Project has always produced thought-provoking, worthy pieces by amazing women playwrights, up-and-coming as well as past/established. With female playwrights, directors, and producers still quite under-represented in the theatre community, it is very crucial that an organization like Women's Project thrives for years to come and continues to shine light on the brilliant pieces produced by female artists.

After completing my contracted time at Women's Project, I was able to set foot in the New York City community with experience and confidence. The community of female artists present at the organization are supportive of the art and each other.

Lascivious Something was thought-provoking, intriguing, and completely original. The performances were complex and multi-faceted. The script was rich with poeticism, wit, and humor and the plot was beautifully tangled and complex. I am so impressed with the outstanding work that has been and continues to be produced by the Women’s Project. Unafraid to push the envelope, the Women’s Project never fails to deliver an extraordinary experience! If you want a riveting night filled with emotion, sensuality, and a beautifully woven story with incredible heart-wrenching performances, the Women’s Project is the place to go to!

I have been very impressed with the numerous productions I have seen at their theatre. The shows are always well produced, include great talent and include edgy, sometimes controversial topics and themes that really challenge the audience. I have also attended a few of their fundraising functions, which are always very well planned and executed - and they're always a lot of fun. Well done Women's Project.

I've been to all the main stage productions for the last couple of years - most recently Smudge; and I'm seeing Lacivious Something tomorrow night. WP's plays have covered a huge range of subjects and topics, but they are consistently thoughtful, intelligent and entertaining, and often very funny. As an organization, I've found WP to be well-run and it has a great membership progam.

I have attended the three most recent productions, and all of them were amazing evenings of theater! I recommend Women's Project regularly to local friends for the amazing stories that they share.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

knowing that I will have a great evening of theater and being able to share it with other feminists that I know.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind and helpful!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

renovate the theater and put on more productions!

Interning with Women's Project has been a great entry into professional theater experience. I have received more and more interesting and important projects that benefit the organization, allowing me to really make a difference in what's happening around the WP office. I've also gotten to see a WP show since I started my internship; Lascivious Something. It was an interesting and powerful production, with many strengths. I learned a lot from seeing both the backstage and onstage aspects of professional theater production.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the development of both my skills and the development of productions around the office and occasionally in the theater.
