The Women's Intercultural Center is a blessing to the community. Helping women empower themselves with skills which enable them to support and enhance their families is an everyday affair at the Center. Operated with sincere caring and concern, I have witnessed women transform before my eyes!! Mary Carter, director, has an authentic passion for helping others and it is exemplified through the participants, volunteers, and donors. i feel embraced with hope and love every time i walk through the doors. This Center epitomizes what helping one another is truly about. I am so grateful to be a part of such an endeavor.

This Center is the HUB and HEART of the community. Folks can count on the Women's Intercultural Center for resources, education/skills development, and much more. It's a safe & supportive environment. Women working together to change the community...one family at a time!

I am extremely proud & honored to be associated with the Women's Intercultural Center. I have seen this Center mobilize and get the community to vote. I've seen the transformation of not only women, but entire families. It's the heart of our community and is a TRUE community-based center . . . touching the lives of everyone who walks through the door. Thank you to the staff, volunteers, and community for your hard work & endless support. Together, we'll make a difference!

El Centro Intercultural de la Mujer me ha ayudado mucho porque gracias a que podemos usar el internet pude terminar proyectos de la escuela. Gracias a que temos este centro en la comunidad muchas personas podemos aprovechar nueastro tiempo haciendo cosas que nos gustan y que nos hacen bien. Es muy bueno tener este centro en nuestra communidad.

I have lived and worked in this community for 30 years. During this time I have met many families and are aware of their educational, economic, spiritual, and political needs. This goes hand in hand with the mission that the Women's Intercultural Center strives to accomplish. To be able to take part in the growth of this organization has been rewarding since my reason for volunteering was to take part in helping the families progress. This includes surrounding area communities. By volunteering I feel I show God gratitude for His blessings in my life.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

its growth in all areas which include numbers of participants served, increase in political awareness, resources offered to the women, opportunities available to connect with other women, training to become self sufficient, and educational programs.

Our volunteers are the are the heart of the Women’s Intercultural Center for it began as a volunteer operated organization.  The Center since its inception places a high value on community involvement.  Volunteers can donate their time and talents in many ways to make a difference in the lives of the women that participate in our programs.

Arts and Crafts Group Volunteers: Make arts and crafts to sell at the Center’s gift shop or gallery and craft fairs to raise money for the Center through the classes and workshops we provide. Making crafts at home is also an option for those unable to attend our classes or workshops. 

Buildings and Grounds Volunteers: Maintain buildings and grounds by helping clean the facilities, gardening, and overall building maintenance.

Community Outreach Volunteers: Host or represent the Center at health fairs and community events. Educate civic community groups about the Center’s programs and services by being part of the Speakers Bureau. Scheduled events vary from weekdays to weekends.

Educators/Instructors: Lead classes through our educational and tutoring programs based on experience and expertise.

Office Volunteers: Provide administrative office support to Center staff. Mailings, filing, computer input, assemblage of information packets, telephone support, or copying are examples of some office volunteer support.

Special Events Volunteers: Assist the Center with annual fundraisers, trainings, workshops and other special events. Volunteer
