Mission: Women’s eNews is an award-winning nonprofit news service covering issues of particular concern to women and creating significant social impact through its work and collaborations: The competitive advantage of Women’s eNews lies in its unique combination of three functions: 1. Serious Reporting: Women’s eNews conducts high quality journalism on serious issues that are of particular concern to women. 2. Original Coverage of Under reported Issues: Women’s eNews publishes original reporting on issues ignored by other media. Women’s eNews articles are frequently reprinted by other news outlets and feminist blogs and websites, and often catalyze social action and additional reporting by other organizations. 3. Global Scope: Women’s eNews reports on issues affecting women in the United States and around the world, and its Arabic site is aimed specifically at women in the Middle East. Women’s eNews also hires freelancer reporters from across the globe and provides them high quality editing so that they may clearly, concisely and fairly tell the stories from the perspective of those living the issues.

Results: Women’s eNews has undoubtedly had a significant social impact, directly and indirectly affecting the lives of millions of people by providing coverage of important issues largely ignored by conventional media. At a more nuanced level, the organization currently creates impact in the following ways: • Women’s eNews helps set the news agenda for conventional media; • Women’s eNews impacts opinion leaders and policymakers; • Women’s eNews is a resource and catalyst for rights organizations and activists; • Women’s eNews uncovers injustices, draws attention to issues, disseminates information, and empowers readers; • Women’s eNews helps foster, train, and support the career development of new journalists with a focus on social justice and women’s rights; • Women’s eNews raises the profiles and supports the leadership development of its 21 Leaders for the 21st Century.

I have served as Legislative Coordinator (lobbyist)of our Arizona NOW and as as Co-Coordinator (Co-president) of our SC/WV NOW chapter. As such, I have subscribed to Women's E-news to learn and share information about the status of women in the U.S. and world-wide and the efforts and activities of Women's E-News and other organizations to assist and support women as they seek opportunities to achieve the education and training that will allow them to acquire means and equity to improve improved quality of life for themselves and their families.

Women's eNews keeps my spirits up by letting me know of the many other women in the world helping others. They are a great group and should be recognized for all their assistance. Thank you for letting us tell our stories.

Women's eNews provides great articles that you won't see in other news outlets necessarily. Also, the top article arrives in your email inbox, if you want it to, so you don't have to go searching for the information. It helps me stay on top of important news for women. Fantastic job, Women's eNews!

Women's eNews is one of the rare breeds of news outlets that dares to cover the issues that women face and are not discussed elsewhere. Women's eNews actually covers breastfeeding as a woman's right, and for that I heartily applaud them. I have been a La Leche League leader and lactation consultant for over ten years. I have faced many of the obstacles new mothers encounter which effectively strip them of their right to breastfeed. As a longtime subscriber to Women's eNews, I wrote several letters to the editors explaining the plight of women who receive no breastfeeding help paid by insurance, and very little accurate information from the medical establishment. Some feminist news organizations that I approached felt that encouraging women to breastfeed might keep them at home. But Women's eNews courageously stepped into the void and gave breastfeeding activists a real voice. Thank you Women's eNews!

There is no other website where I can get the kind of information Women's ENEWs gives regarding what is going on with women around the world. What women are doing, the successes and areas that still need a lot of work, support and help. The information is complete and thorough

Women's ENews is a critical outlet for countless stories on issues affecting women around the globe. The mainstream media rarely has interest in (or is clueless to) women's lives as a vehicle for communicating the consequences of politics, climate change, culture, technology, and all the little things we humans consider daily life on Earth. Thank you, Women's ENews, for shining a bright, unwavering light on these women and their stories!

Women's ENews is where I go when I want to read about women's issues around the world, reported with accuracy and humanity. Unlike the condescension in most of mainstream media when writing about women in the developing world, Women's ENews stories go beyond the surface. Partly this is because they draw writers from international backgrounds, but it is also because of excellent editing -- editors who gather news from multiple sources and angles and are ready to question their own assumptions.

The true value of Women's eNews is it provides a different perspective on events around the world. This isn't the sort of perspective you're going to find in the New York Times or the Washington Post or your local paper. I highly recommend reading Women's eNews. They do an excellent job!!

On the road to women's equality and parity Women's e-news both informs and inspires me as a general member of the public. It is gratifying to see the journalists' determination to keep women's news available and it is gratifying to see the steady and relentless efforts world wide to help turn the tide of oppression and lack of awareness of the status of women. by being informed others are informed and by being inspired the wake is bigger.
