As a university professor whose fields are history and women's Studies, and the co-author of a college level textbook introducing women's Studies, I find women's enews extremely helpful in keeping up to date across a myriad of breaking stories related to women around the world and in the USA. It gives useful summaries of events, thoughtful analysis of their importance, and calls attention to women's important across the globe. Without it, keeping in touch with these matters would be much more difficult. I applaud the way it is conducted and wish it a long future.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

in trying to write about women trans-nationally in terms of all the factors that impinge on their lives.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I have nothing to suggest

Women's eNews is so important because it is one of the few organizations out there that caters specifically to helping women and minorities have a voice and learn about current events that matter to us. There is always a broad spectrum of different women writing for Women's eNews and therefore a broad spectrum of events is always covered. Topics that are both local and global are addressed and there's always something interesting from Women's eNews in my inbox, sometimes news I am learning about for the first time.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Using Women's Enews to learn about topics for university classes and for finding resources when writing my own articles.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Nada!

I read Women' e-news daily. In the whirlwind of
the changing, expanding chaotic world we live in,
Women' e-news manages to slow information down
and deliver in-depth articles from around the world that deeply
effect women's lives. The power of this information is twofold.
As a woman I am more deeply informed and therefore can manage
my life and the local issues that effect me more successfully,
and now the world knows we are watching intelligently, so more
men will need to think twice if poor treatment of women will happen
under the bright light of our watchful eyes.
There is no doubt change is a foot and women's e-news is there
to report all of it courageously. It fills in the gaping holes, because unfortunately the rest of the media could truly and accurately be called "mens news."

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I had the great pleasure of seeing our story, our success in preserving women's reproductive health services printed in Women's E-news. Other women around the country were able to read about our success and use it to fight and win their own battle!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would help it find it's way into every household on the planet!

I recently had the opportunity of volunteering at Women's eNews. Although I was only there for a short while, I was quite impressed with this group of women that are hard working and dedicated to providing women with news on issues that are not available to them through other media outlets. It was truly a pleasure meeting and working with Rita Henley Jensen and her staff and I wish them only the best as they continue on with their mission.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

by being able to be more informed on women's issues throughout the world that I previously was unaware of.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would not make any changes, it is great the way it is!

My name is Shafiqa Habibi executive director of the New Afghanistan Association,
NAWA.

NAWA was established on January 1999, and it is a cultural and educational organization with limited personnel but supreme achievements and follows the following goals:
** Afghan society specially women and girls knowledge upgrading through educational, cultural programs and capacity building.
** Provision and advocacy for Afghan society especially women and girls to participate in country reconstruction process through:
- Conducting literacy (Fast learning Program) for illiterate girls and young women.
-Training journalism programs for women and girls, holding information, cultural programs, workshops, seminars. By women journalist center, which has more then 100 active women journalists members in Kabul and provinces media,
-Radio &TV programs to aware, research analysis of human rights, women rights, gender equality, violence against women civil society, and advocacy for justice, which is produced in
Hareer production studio belong to NAWA,then broadcasted by afghan media,

NAWA received several televised projects from donors ,one of the best project was :
The of SILENT VOICE OF WAR VICTIMES through TV programs that had been implemented successfully by NAWA. and for the first time many victims participated in TV programs, and they did not afraid from War Lords in Afghanistan : In one of the TV programs, an old woman (Zia Gul) said: “In Soviet war I lost my two sons and one brother and one of my son‘s became disable and my husband ‘s feet are paralyzed. Now she doesn’t have the ability to find food for her disable son and husband.”
Another war victim Ms. Sayed Begum from Kapesa province said: “In Soviet wars our house was hit by a racket my husband, son and daughter died. Another son was working in cultivated field that suddenly a bullet was fired to his heart and he died. Her third son is missing and her fourth son has mental problems

The New Afghanistan Women Association (NAWA) thinks that, These kinds of TV programs were not broadcasted from any TV network yet so this is very important way to solve these problems by raising war victims voice and explaining their pains, sorrows by themselves through TV programs .First Each program had Message or correspondence of Transitional justice for war victims and government will pay attention to this tragedy and second thing is that charitable Foundations and benevolent people will help these miserable victims.

,
In one of the survey ,people gave me the address of a house that all of its members were war victims there was a young girl that her tow hands, and a boy that his tow legs were cut by an explosion in their house. The girl ate and write with her feet. You can watch their images in You Tube.

For helping these families I Shafiqa Habibi joint to Afghanistan Social Foundation
.This Foundation is supporting them and giving them some amount of money every month which is helping these war victims to live.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

reasing awarniss for Afghan women of thier rights is very impotant becouse they dont know any thing

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

like to creat a TV chanal for Afghan women.

Women's eNews truly reflects the opinion of women across social, economic, health and a myriad of concerns that women face on a daily basis.

By bringing issues that are often covertly dismissed by the establishment as unimportant gives women the incentive to fight for what is right in their opinion.

Since finding Women's eNews I have been able to personally broaden my own horizons and bring tothe attention of like minded women the importance of knowledge as a power base.

Subject matter is often controversial and not necessarily of my own personal belief, however, by opening up debate it demysifies the rumour and fabrication associated with a particular subject.

Friends have thanked me for putting them in touch with this example of how free speech can be used to the benefit of all.

Women's eNews provides an essential service to the public by filling the void left by mainstream news outlets that often lack coverage of crucial women's issues. The organization itself is made up of a small but highly dedicated group of passionate people who choose to dedicate their time to advancing the mission of Women's eNews solely because they believe in the power of independent news outlets to help change the world. During my time there as an intern, I was amazed to see how such a small team has been able to grow WeNews into such an incredible and reliable news service over its ten years of operation. I know that WeNews will only continue to flourish, and its power to shed light on essential women's issues will grow with each new reader.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing how many people rely on Women's eNews for their daily dose of news.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

give them all the money in the world so they can grow even faster!

Hi:

I am a feminist activist, author, public speaker, and attorney. I am a NOW co-founder and I was the first woman attorney in the Office of the General Counsel at the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission).

I read several sources several times daily to keep up with developments impacting women and e-mail that information to my feminist e-mail list. The Womens eNews is an invaluable help to me in this regard.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My daily work.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
