Women of Tomorrow has helps hundreds of young women each year. This is a four year mentoring program that begins in the 9th grade. It is incredible to see the change in these young women by the time they are ready to graduate. WOT helps these senior with scholarship money. Many are the first in their families to attend college. Hats off to all the wonderful mentors and staff that works so hard to make these dreams come true for our future women leaders!

I have been a school Advisor for the Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program for the last 8 years. I have seen so many young ladies make a 180 degree change and graduate with a new sense of accomplishment and hope for the future thanks to this outstanding program. The dedication of our wonderful mentors that take time form their busy lives to spend time with our students every month is one of the most important compontents of this program. I am proud to say that I too am part of WOT. Thanks to all that play a part in the lives of our needy young ladies!

As an advissor, I have seen how the program has helped the young ladies that have participated in the program. They have graduated from high school with a new sense of direction and with hopes to further their education, thanks to WOT.

This orginization helps many young ladies including myself. We learn about all kinds of jobs and opportunities for our future. During this experience we get to meet new faces and make friends. Its a good way for women to support each other.

I have been through a lot as a child. I grew up in a abusive home with a criminal father who devalued us women of the house in various tragic ways. All because of what my family and I have been through I grew up with a good head on my shoulders which, thank god, I can say that I am proud of today. This charity has been so amazing and welcoming to me. It helped me grow from within places I didn't know I needed more strengthening to do. It has helped me gain my girl power back, the one that was taken from me and my family. It helped me create bigger dreams for myself and demonstrated to me that us women are capable of anything, even if it's overcoming a weak past to look forward for a successful future.

This a great organization! I am always amazed at the amount of scholarships they provide, the success stories of the graduating mentees and the high graduation rate for participants in the program.

Some of the mentees at the school where I am assigned, have been recipients of scholarship awards, through their participation. I have also witnessed the enthusiasm of the girls and their rapt attention to many of the speaker presentations.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

improve the ability to share tips and techniques among mentors. There is some sharing, but it could be improved.

I have been a Mentor for young some since i began teaching High School over 40 years ago. Today i am beginning my 7th Year as a Women of Tomorrow Mentor. Every year our young women tell us that involvement in our program is changing their lives. We believe that it does indeed open doors and opportunities for the rest of their lives. Many of these women are from homes where they would never have an option for a college experience or learn about professions or interests that they may choose to pursue. Thank you women of Tomorrow for giving me an area to change lives.

Our youth stay in school, delay parenting longer, remain focused on career paths and generally become more financially independent earlier than the majority of Foster Care youth who do not have an experience like Casa Valentina.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Grow it faster by helping to raise more funds to help more young people.

I was told that I can get a free dress at Macy's if I go to the address given to me. I went and was told to pick out what I want, try it out and keep it. I like what I saw and the compliments I got when I wore it to an event that needed the fantastic dress I picked out. If I had the money, the task of picking out a dress would have been harder for my size. I'm just glad that this place was available. Thank you.

I Am currently a member of WOT organization, this organization have helped me alot. How so? from being scrared of sharing out my feelings and thoughts,being afraid of what others my think. The Girls in WOT helped me get rid of that fear.

Women of Tomorrow Mentoring Program has help me realize that there is so much out there for me to explore and to see. They have given me different connections and benefits to help me get to college such as scholarships. They have shown me that as a young lady, I have a lot of power and that I do whatever a man can but more organized, precise, and gracefully.
