I truly enjoy viewing the variety of artistic works displayed during the shows given by Woman's Made Gallery. Whether one enjoys scuptures, paintings or photography, the artists use unique materials to graphically display the emotions they are attempting to tell. I look forward to each show, and can not wait to see everything in 2012.

I have viewed several of the exhibits at Woman Made Gallery. It is difficult for me to pick which one I like the most. It is wonderful that there is a place and organization that gives the opportunity for individual artists to display their artwork. From needlework and painting to mixed media it is great to see the detail the artist produces. I think one of the best was a representation of something I also experienced, the decline of a loved ones health. The artwork, a series of pictures, tactfully and artfully expressed the feelings I felt. They do a great job, and with them being a not for profit organization, I personally help them by assisting in a monitary donation, to keep them open for us all.

The Great!

Woman Made Gallery is a rare organization that provides an opportunity for women artists to show their works in a gorgeous gallery space in Chicago. In a male dominated art world, this is invaluable. I will always submit to and support Woman Made Gallery.

As a female artist, I have found Woman Made Gallery to be one of the best places to submit and show works. They offer so many opportunities with their juried calls and I have been able to show my works here more than anywhere else. I don't know what I would do without Woman Made!

I participated in a group show "Abstractions" at Woman Made Gallery. It was a good experience, there was a good variety of work by artists from all over the country. The reception went well with a lot of people attending. Dropping off my artwork for the show was easy.

I have been affiliated with Woman Made Gallery since their inception. I began visiting the gallery and partaking in drawing and other professional workshops, have exhibited in group and solo shows, have juried exhibits and been part of the advisory board. My experience has been personally and professionally enriching and positive in every way. Some of my favorite events are the poetry readings and artist presentations of their own and other artists' works. Thus WMG has created a history within a history of women's art, and passed it on to new generations through their community outreach.. The relationships formed there have been both challenging and nurturing. I have observed WMG's growth, tireless commitment and laser focus on women in the arts. Their outreach and programming has been stellar. The gallery continues to stay contemporary and even occasionally visionary.
As it has been for me, WMG has provided countless opportunities for networking, showcasing, presenting work and gaining professionalism to many artists and supporters.

“I've always thought of Woman Made as the ideal not-for-profit art gallery. I have utmost faith in your vision, intentions, projects, staff, presentation, online presence, handling, outreach, and integrity. This has been borne out in my 14 years experience with Woman Made! It's very important to have some galleries and venues that go beyond the 'bottom line' with what they do."

It is a joy to work with other women artists and art professionals in this supportive and welcoming environment. The exhibitions are top-rate and showcase the unique viewpoint that we bring to the art community. I would encourage all women artists to visit and support this wonderful venue.

I have been impressed with Woman Made gallery for years. The staff and founding organizers have and are creating a special place for innovative thinking and artistic skill. It has and continues to fill the void in our social structure that discourages women to make artistic contributions. Thank you Woman Made for being there and being a venue that has given my voice an opportunity. I have exhibited in four or five exhibits and have been encouraged and connected to others through this organization. It is first rate in my opinion due to its people and purpose.

Yes I have due to many opportunities to compete to exhibit art and attend workshops: grant writing and how to prepare for gallery representation. Both were very good. The presenters and information provided much food for thought.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I wish I lived closer.

Woman Made Gallery is a wonderful place. It promote thought provoking artwork. As a professional artist I am always happy to show my work there. I live on the west coast yet I am aware of the exhibits at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago. One of the things I like best is that if offers opportunities to international artists as well as artists from all over the US to exhibit there.
