I first came across this charity because I was interested in adopting a parrot. Later as I became more involved in a role of board member because we share similar idea of saving life. The founder - De, who has helped many pet birds rehabilitation and re-home. I am grateful for people like De to step out and providing TLC to those animals.

I am truly honored to be a member of the board for Wings of Love. I have learned so much from De and she has made me a better birdie mom. I respect the amount of effort put into providing each bird with the best possible diet and environment. Not many bird rescues will go to the work of all the fresh, organic fresh foods and sprouts. I have also met so many great people through my role with WOL, it has been a rewarding experience.

It is heartbreaking to have someone surrender a bird, but also rewarding finding that bird a new home.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would love for the birds to get more one on one time. In order for this to happen, we would need more foster homes close to the rescue.
