I've been working with Cris and her foundation for well over a year now and I must say that I have never met another person so dedicated to the work that they do. She is the most selfless person I have ever met and would do anything for her dogs. She makes sure that every dog that comes through the foundation finds a real "forever" home with people who will make sure to take care of them and not only give them love but also make sure that they eat healthy food and get proper exercise. This foundation is really about the animals, which can't be said for all the other adoption facilities around here.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the change for the better that every dog that comes through the organization experiences.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working with Cris and learning the tremendous amount of abuse and pain an animal can go through and still manage to love and trust people.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

awesome.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

save every dog and cat that every gets put on the euthanasia list.

I am a canine massage therapist and came across the White Kitty Foundation whilst looking for a charity to volunteer with and have been with them ever since. I love the fact that they rescue dogs and cats that are about to be put to sleep just because they have been in the shelter their alloted time and nobody else wants them. The White Kitty do a fantastic job at caring for those animals that are overlooked by adoptees because they are too old, too ill or are labelled with behavioural issues. They frequently have fund raising events to raise money and awareness and could even do with more volunteers to help walk and socialise the animals and even foster them. They do an outstanding job and have changed their whole way of life, sacrificing many things in order to make this foundation work.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The many dogs that have been adopted out to their forever homes including one I have myself!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The animals I've got to help and the kindness of Cris.

Ways to make it better...

There were more volunteers to help.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Finding more foster carers, raising more money to expand their facilities and finding more ways to adopt out the aminals.

Having been involved in this young non-profit since its inception, I have had the pleasure to work with the founders and Board on special events and fundraising. The Fall Borges Ranch BBQ brought out the best in people and their pets as we celebrated the life and health of George - a seven-year old German Shepard-mix, who was battered, shot and then dumped at the Shelter. After surgery and recovery in the care of the White Kitty Foundation, George has recovered from his physical injuries, and while he requires lifetime care, George has found love in a permanent sanctuary home! Along with the great "grub", the fiddle and strings music, the barn dancing and auction on a warm and sunny fall day...there wasn't too much else for which we could wish.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people involved truly care about the quality of life for the animals (dogs and cats) that are removed from certain death at the Shelter. These are not the cute puppies, but the less fortunate, old, infirmed and usually abandoned. The White Kitty Foundation makes certain that all animals live and die a natural death with love and dignity.

Ways to make it better...

there were more volunteers willing to help out.
