We are thrilled with the education our two children have received at WBMS. Children here are not talked down to - the youngest of toddlers are not spoken to in baby talk. Each child is respected, taught grace, and challenged to attempt "work" with real materials. There are no plastic tea sets here! My daughter started at 2.5 making snack for herself, "walking the line" and observing the older children in her class (Montessori classrooms are mixed age). She is now 5 and writing full sentence stories in cursive and has an amazing understanding of math and the quantities of numbers. Staff are excellent, parents are warm and friendly. This is simply a great place to be.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing how my children have grown to become confident, ahead of others their age in vocabulary, achieving academic success all while thinking everything they do there is fun!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find grant money so more families could attend!

Our daughter has been enrolled at White Bear Montessori for two years and will be continuing on for as long as possible. We knew as soon as we walked in the door that this was the school for us. From the beautiful classroom environment to the vibrant parent community to the most caring and compassionate staff, White Bear Montessori is unparalleled. We were also very impressed by how reasonably priced it was, especially for a private school education. I recommend it to anyone and everyone!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the behavior of my three-and-a-half year old who is already compassionate, considerate and academically ahead of the game.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

have it continue through sixth grade instead of just third grade.

This school and the teachers are incredible!! I have witnessed tangible changes in my 2 year old. He is in the toddler program and will be moving up to children's house. Enrolling my son in Montessori was the best decision I could have ever made for his future!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

every student and parent that is part of the community. Families become more connected and involved with their child's education and development.

More feedback...

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

committed to my children's well-being and development

I have two children at White Bear Montessori School and have been a part of the community for four years now. The staff are phenomenal, providing challenging work in a caring, welcoming environment. My children love going to school every day. My daughter, now in her fourth year at WBMS, has developed her academic skills to being able to read fluently, and has a solid foundation for learning higher-level math. The parent community is a vital and valued part of WBMS. There are a wide range of extracurricular opportunities for children including cross-country ski club, science, chess, art and science. Our family looks forward to several more years of learning and growing at WBMS.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

This sentence starter doesn't apply. I'm enjoying my role as a parent.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

I like that it has all the elements my children need to thrive at school: well-trained, dedicated staff, challenging learning opportunities, engaging materials, and a classroom structure that facilitates social development.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Dedicated, kind, and hard-working.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand the current facility and provide more scholarships.

Ways to make it better...

This one doesn't apply, honestly!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the current economy, but the tuition is worth it!

One thing I'd also say is that...

The school prepares children for life.
