I started taking yoga at We Spark about a year after I had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I feel so comfortable there. Everyone there is so nice and people are made to feel welcome. No judgements are made and there is an upspoken message that I feel there that we all share a common challenge and the same goals.

The Great!
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... It is open to anyone who has had an experience with cancer themselves or someone who has had a family member who has. I also like the vaiety of class that are available. There seems to be something for everyone.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... warm, caring and non judgemental
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... there was better parking available

I DID AN INTAKE WITH A WONDERFUL AND SUPPORTIVE COUNSELOR & THEN I BEGAN THE EVENING GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP AND THE LEADERSHIP THERE WAS EXCELLENT. I ALSO DID YOGA WITH THE CENTER AND STILL ATTEND DIFFERENT EVENTS. ONE NEEDS SO VERY MUCH THE SUPPORT OF GROUPS AND ORGAN. SUCH AS WE SPARK TO SURVIVE THE INITIAL VERY TOUGH MONTHS OF A GREAT LOSS. ALSO A WONDERFUL CHIGONG THERAPIST HELPED ME LET GO OF MY GRIEF AS WELL. JUST AN AMAZING SUPPORT ORGAN. ONE I ALWAYS REFER OTHERS TO WHO HAVE LOST A LOVED ONE THROUGH CANCER. MY ONLY SADNESS IS I DID NOT KNOW OF WE SPARK CANCER SUPPORT UNITL MY HUSBAND WAS GONE AS I KNOW WHAT A GREAT SUPPORT THE ORGAN. WOULD HAVE BEEN FOR HIM AS WELL. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN SO VERY, VERY MUCH.

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... In the other cancer survivors i met at we spark and the grief support group was involved with was excellent.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... The support and kindness and professional support at we spark of those I was in contact with there.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... very professional and understood where i was at at the time which is very important.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... no comment
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... it cound not have been better or more supportive than i experienced
  • If I ran this organization, I would... not change anything that I could see in my experience there.
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... none i could see
  • One thing I'd also say is that... n/a

As a Cancer Patient I really never realized how helpful a simple visit to WeSpark would change my life. Meeting the sincerity of Tara Shores was amazing. I've always felt that meeting her was a God Send. Through the yoga classes and the fact that I realized they really care made me so happy to be there. Lenora is the greatest assistant they could have there. She is very attentive and helpful. I really go when I do have the chance to and I enjoy every minute of it. I love the yoga instructor, Lisa and everyone there is so nice and friendly. I am so happy to have found out about this Support Group which has indeed changed my life in a very good way since my Cancer Journey.

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... my own life. I really had a big problem sleeping and through the tools I received at We Sprark, I have my insomnia under control. I walked in there after dealing with this problem for over a year. I got better with the help of We Spark & their Staff.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... Everyone there is great. Tara, Lenora have touched our hearts in a positive way.
Ways to make it better!
  • If I ran this organization, I would... hire Tara and Lenora to be part of it to keep it as great as We Spark is now.
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... getting more money for making the area bigger.
  • One thing I'd also say is that... The environment is very cozy and feels very safe as if I were in my own home and that is very important to me.

As a nursing student preparing a presentation on a health topic (I chose cancer), I thought, where would one go -- in the community -- if one needed emotional support for this anxiety- producing diagnosis? In my research, I found WeSPARK, called them explaining my request as to the details of what they were and what they did. They invited me for interviews, tours, and gave me so much information. The staff is phenomenal -- the environment healing. Indoors as well as outdoors. Just beautiful. Their programs are so well thought out and comforting, to those diagnosed, as well as family and friends. I was encouraged to ask questions -- they seemed to have endless patience. What a diamond of an organization to give so much in so many different ways. How comforting it is to me frequently meeting -- or knowing people recently diagnosed, that there is somewhere wonderful I can recommend for them to check out. It is a jewel of a resource, and those who have inspired such a creative healing center most definitely has helped me understand the nature of true caring.

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... meeting a few cancer survivors who have been served by WeSPARK.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... The phenomenal efforts with the staff to create such a harmonious healing environment.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... Directors, nurse practitioners, administrative assistants.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Set up satellite locations across the world; be a wonderful asset to research for cures which undoubtedly would happen.
Ways to make it better!
  • One thing I'd also say is that... Any contribution to this organization would lead us closer to cure.

After breat cancer I was feeling very depressed. A friend called to tell me about WeSpark. What a FABULOUS organization! The people are so caring and concerned. The other "members" are supportive sharing their experiences. Going to Wespark is like going home.

  • I've seen the results of this organization in... I hope this organization will be around to help many people in years to come
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... The people I have met there who are fighters WHO WANT TO STAY ALIVE1
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... OK, not as caring as I would like thm to be
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Increase its services and help so many more people
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... The office staff was more concerned
  • If I ran this organization, I would... Hire more mature and caring staff members
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Dollars to contine
  • One thing I'd also say is that... In a time of need its good to have a place like Wespark
