ACT is a well-run, highly organized, caring, warm, and friendly community theater that puts on highly praised, professional-quality shows, and reaches out to students(with their Jr. Troupe shows), minority groups, senior citizens, and all members of the community. It is one of the few theater groups left to put on full-scale musicals, comedies, dramas, etc.,and consistantly maintain its reputation for excellence and audience-pleasing entertainment.

ACT has put on many fabulous shows in recent years. Especially memorable was Death of a Salesman. The community is fortunate to have such a talented theater company so close by.

It is my pleasure to write a review for ACT, an exemplary model of good community theater attracting families to partake in all aspects of youth and adult musical comedy and drama productions. I personally enjoyed participating in musical productions with this group many years ago. Their longevity in Westchester County allows my daughter the advantages and opportunity to hone her theatrical for which she is passionate. This group provides opportunity for all who show an interest, fosters and nurtures, not only the talent they find but, confidence, self-esteem, team play, a sense of pride in hard work, a total sense of community within a cast and crew. The directorial staff are excellent role models to the junior troupe. ACT has always enjoyed a reputable image of quality theater productions, directing, casting, choreography, set design, along with many other components. They are an icon in community theater, and continue to be creative in order to survive in today's economy while not charging cast members any kind of fee which remains refreshing in light of those groups capitalizing on running theater for tuition. ACT knows and understands the meaning of Community Theater.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

build it's very own theater inclusive of all the best lighting and sound equipment, costumes, hire the best musicians, etc.

It has gotten harder and harder to find grassroots organizations, real "community" theatres with a dedicated core group of people that do what needs doing to get a show up. What ACT does year in and year out is put good theatre on the boards, and give anyone with time and commitment the opportunity to be involved. Bravo!

I gives me great pleasure to be able to expose my family to creative productions in our community. I was introduced to this Theatre Company many years ago and have attended productions with friends, parents and my daughter throughout the years. Thanks to the Actors Conservatory Theatre, my daughter has developed a love for live performance and story telling as well as the history of theater. - Thank you ACT.

I am a nyc drama teacher and the parent of a 15 year old thespian who has been transformed by the amazing family of ACT participants. She has been given the opportunity to be a part of an amazing cast of characters and nurtured by great people. The ACT shows are brilliant. This year, courtesy of ACT generosity, 30 of my 7th grade students will witness the magic of this great organization. They will never realize the impact they have on these young lives!

On show nights and every night they have a special nack for making every individual feel very important. Every detail is attended to or it looks that way to me who has watched their incredibly organized and vibrant rehearsals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

the most friendly. I was amazed at how much personal attention each visitor recieved. from their preference of aisle seating to being ushered to their seat to a wonderful "Enjoy the Show"

We have been involved with ACT for several years. The quality of their performances, whether their mainstage or jr. performance troupe is always outstanding. The work done with young actors in the jr. troupe is amazing. They provide a loving and fun environment in which every child feels welcome and suceeds!

When I first came to Yonkers, I had the pleasure of performing with ACT (as Bella in "Lost in Yonkers"!) and was welcomed warmly into the ACT family. Everyone pitched in willingly and was rewarded by the quality production, built on a foundation of dedication, love and talent (both on stage and off). This is the little theatre that could. A gem to be sure. Get involved!
