I have been listening to WDNA for only a short time, but it doesn't take long for anyone who listens to realize that the staff and management at DNA are commited to providing the community with not only great music, but also vital health and life information. Their partnership with Baptist hospital shows a clarity in mission and programing to engage the listening audience, and allow access to vital current health issues. I recently when back to my own doctor to discuss an issue I heard on thier 'Life and Health' segment, and as it turned out, it was the best thing I could have done for myself as I was ignoring a condition that could have turned into something serious. WDNA is also not just great radio, they are provding the South Florida community with access to the arts. Their new facility shows an eagerness to invited their listeners, and the community to share in the experience of great art. I had the fortunate opportunity to attend two of their most recent art exhibits of local artist. It was a great event filled music, good company and interesting art. The atmosphere at WDNA is one of family where I feel much welcomed at, and one of which I know I will be with for a long, long time.

WDNA 88.9FM has been my favorite radio station since I started listening over 15 years ago. My mind would get blown every morning while driving to work listening to Frank Consola. Then in 2005 I was between jobs so I started to volunteer at the station. Gene DeSouza showed me how to work the board and I landed the LJQ show on Tuesdays 12-3pm. Once I started working again I switched to Monday nights and added Mano P. as my co-programmer. Eventually we switched to Sunday nights and that has been our slot ever since. We are going on 5 years as volunteers and every week we give back to the community with pleasure. Playing music to blow your mind. The staff is wonderful. Everyone works hard and does a great job. Quality music is played by experienced and knowledgable dj's that have their hearts in the right place. A place to call home.

88.9FM WDNA is one of the most wonderful and unique radio stations I have ever heard in the US or anywhere else. The programming is so diverse and entertaining that I never get tired of listening, something I cannot say for commercial stations. The hosts really know the music, whether its jazz, Latin, Brazilian, reggae or Indian music. They also let me know about all the great music, film and arts events in town. This is an amazing institution that the people of Miami really need to be more aware of and grateful for.
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
meeting great people at the station and also from the music and entertainment business in Miami. The station serves as a focal point for great artists and events.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Have bigger broadcast and performance facility, produce high quality local programming, nationally syndicate shows, present jazz festivals and much more.
