Mission: Waste to charity is an international,501C3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to find uses for the Millions of pounds of “obsolete” and “waste” products produced by manufacturers, importers wholesalers and retail companies to stop these items going to our landfills. We find that MOST of these products can be reused in some way by people in need. How many times have you seen a company throw something away that you wished could have just been given to someone who could use it? That exact idea was used to found Waste to Charity. We know companies don’t want to dispose of anything they don’t have to, but it’s a fact of doing business. Through our work, we help corporations find new, less expensive and charitable ways to rid themselves of unwanted and unneeded items. Through charitable giving, these items assist the company’s bottom line in the form of for tax benefits, as well as the knowledge and praise that comes with helping those in need. Manufacturers may have product that is close to expiration, does not meet specs for sale, or may be storing an ingredient or item is no longer being used due to changes in ingredients, color or product. We make donating these items easy, visit www.wastetocharity.org, fill out the donation form, and we’ll do the rest.

I see first hand what Waste to Charity does to donate items to various charities . Most of the items donated would have filled landfills if it were not for Waste to Charity rescuing them and giving them a new life!

Waste to charity has filed for bankruptcy. Why would you donate to a charity that has been in bankruptcy for almost 2 years or more. If they are doing everything they say they should be ok like all of the other good charities? I was also told they are in a really big lawsuit with tempurpedic.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

This charity needs to come out of bankruptcy to show everyone that they do the right thing.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

do what it takes to come out of bankruptcy and help people

My Wife and I have volunteered for several non profits in the past. Waste to Charity is by far one of the best we have volunteered for. Sending out over 15000 identify it Educational flash cards for children is no simple task and this organization made it happen without a hitch. Would certainly help them again if the opportunity arose.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Very well organized, Friendly, Prompt.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Can't think of anything.

I see first hand the donations that Waste To Charity donates on a daily basis. It amazes me the amount of waste that would be going into our landfills, instead of going to people and countries that need the items in order to survive. America needs more non profits like WTC.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I volunteered hours helping go through loads of supplies that needed to be re packed and shipped out to various charities

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

None at this time

1 Truckload of assorted snack foods, (chips, pretzels, etc.) City of Industry California, going to the local homeless shelter. I volunteered to help unload the truck and it was clear that these snacks were straight from the bakery.

Thank goodness that Organizations like this find like minded companies, and put resources to good use. Think about it- when we’re just throwing all of our resources away it is pathetic. Kudos for Waste to Charity!

1,300 Bags of Cat food was a lot to unload off the truck! We had to find people to donate garage space, and it was a lot of work, but we got it done!

Waste to Charity made certain that the food wasn't contaminated, or part of ANY recall.

Thanks to Jack, Natalie, and Joe!

Thanks to Waste to Charity , we were able to feed SO many cats, and this food didn't wind up in a dumpster.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Help Them get better known- or hire an advertising firm!

What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?

How about Saturday Deliveries?/ We realize that this was a first time, and we weren’t ready for it, but if the trucking company could have given an extra’s day notice! Friday Delivery? Come on! it would have been helpful. It’s tough enough to get Volunteers, never mind on a Friday Afternoon..

I was told waste to charity filed for bankruptcy and is involved in a lawsuit as well as it's president Jack Fitzgerald. Does anyone know why they filed for bankruptcy after the lawsuit? Does anyone know when it will be complete? Also what is going on with the charity filing for bankruptcy after the lawsuit was brought against them, as well as the president Jack Fitzgerald of waste to charity has completed his bankruptcy. How does this effect any donations they receive? I was told WTC was paid for waste mattresses that they sold because they were not able to even pay to have them picked up. The used Tempurpedic mattresses were donated to wtc and tempurpedic said the used dirty mattresses were worth $15,000,000 the same amount as a new mattresses. Does a contract need to be signed? I was told there was not a signed contract and Tempurpedic was over stating the value of used mattresses maybe for years.

donated to them as well as read about them and the lawsuit that the president Jack Fitzgerald and the charity waste to charity are in with Tempurpedic as well as the charity and the president filing for bankruptcy after the lawsuit was filed to try to stall a court date that will come.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Have them stand up and tell the truth and if tempurpedic donated used dirty mattresses to them they have the rights to stop companies from taking over inflated $ amounts on what gets donated. If some companies have been doing it for years stop them

You would be more than amazed at how much industrial stuff goes to the landfill. This organization helps companies find uses for large and small quantities of products, ingredients, used machinery and all sorts of items they would normally put in a dumpster. In addition many of the items are distributed to other charitable organizations that can use them. I would like more companies to learn about the enviromental, social and financial benefits to donating.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make a big difference

Ways to make it better...

they could be bigger and be all over the country.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

money to advertise and sort materials

One thing I'd also say is that...

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week
