I have had the honor to be involved with WWIN since the early 1990's. The organization helps low-income women with education and healthcare needs. I am continually impressed with the effectiveness of the organization in helping the WWIN clients and their families improve their lives. These women are truly grateful for the support and have become productive members of their society. I plan to continue to be involved in the organization for as long as possible.

I am not a WWIN client, but do know women that have been served by a WWIN grant.

This organization is very appreciative of volunteers. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and committed to the cause. Changing the lives of women has the ripple effect of changing the lives of many, particularly their children and their descendants. Donating to WWIN means potentially affecting generations of families.

I'd lived in Washington for over 25 years and never heard of WWIN, but once I did I found that its an amazing organization - very well run and responsible - and one that offers unique assistance to women in Washington for Education and Healthcare. Its rewarding to be able to help these appreciative women each week when I volunteer in the office.

I experience the results of WWIN each week when I volunteer with the Counseling grant and talk to women that are so thrilled to have found the program and to be eligible for the grants. Its great to see them excited about taking their next steps!

I was first invited to a WWIN luncheon by a neighbor. The WWIN story and mission immediately touched my heart. The generosity of the founder Julia Pritt and her reasons for founding and continuing to support WWIN. And the many compelling stories of the clients and their families - how their lives have been changed.

I've met clients personally, heard from them in letters and the WWIN Facebook page. And I've heard from their children about how changing their Mother's life changed the lives of the family. And the organization is well run - an important criteria for me.

professional, motivated, passionate. The ED comes from a successful business career and it shows in the way the org is run.

I've been volunteering with WWIN since 1998, and I now sit on the Board of Directors. WWIN is near and dear to my heart because of all the good it does in our community. The mission of the organization is so effectively carried out, and with such care and understanding. Allowing our clients to choose their own path towards a better life is so empowering. Whether choosing a doctor, counselor or educational track, our clients are making decisions for themselves instead of being told what to do and how to do it. Allowing them that freedom of choice shows a level of faith, confidence and respect that just isn't present with so many other social service agencies. WWIN is an organization like no other, and my affiliation with it is one of the things in my life of which I am the most proud.

I have seen the thank you letters that we receive from our clients, which often include details about the positive changes they have made because of the grants they have received, and I have volunteered alongside former clients who now volunteer.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working with the staff. They are all so dedicated and such a loving group of people. I feel very at home there.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

address the needs of so many women who are struggling, and in turn improve their lives and the lives of their children and families which creates a stronger community overall.

Washington Women in Need (also known as WWIN) is a very special organization helping low income women in Washington State. Several things are very special about this organization. They make grants for health care and education, in amounts big enough to really change a woman's life. All the fundraising and admin costs are paid by sponsors so that ALL the money raised at their fundraising events goes for these grants! WWIN has helped OVER 7000 women in Washington State!

I'm not a recipient but have a good friend who was helped by WWIN about 10 years ago after she went through a divorce and needed help funding her education. This type of situation could happen to any one of us, no matter our income level.
