I have two children with numerous medical issues, but one of the big one is Dysautonomia. My children struggle with regulating their own body temperature. My daughter has lymphedema and wears compression garments and struggles with excess heat, my son wears AFOs for balance and walking plus a soft positioning sensory vest. For them wearing all of these garments keep them hot and then add in they can't keep themselves cool like needed; makes for a struggle to enforce these items for their health. Neurologist and Pediarician recommended cooling vests; however insurance didn't cover and with all our normal monthly costs I couldn't fit it in the budget adequately. Walk on foundation is blessing my children with the ability to keep cool during the summer, enjoy going to outdoor events.
Thank you Walk on Foundation.

My son was born in August 2015. He was healthy...then he ended up losing weight...and more weight. He went from 7lb 5oz to an even 6lbs by the end of August. He was admitted to Geisinger's Janet Weis Children Hospital the end of August and they were able to help him regain the weight he lost.
Now, October 2015, he is 9lb 13oz and continues to go to Geisinger quite a bit for various appointments.
Walk On has been a great help in helping us with travel costs.

I have a special needs daughter who wanted to be like her sisters and ride bike with them. She was too big for all the bikes with training wheels. Walk on foundation helped us to get her an adaptive bike. When she got the bike her smile said it all. Walk on foundation is an amazing foundation that helps a lot of local families in need! Thank you walk on foundation for helping us help our daughter to be able to ride bike with her sisters.

The walk on foundation is absolutely amazing! I have a special needs daughter who wants to do what her older sisters do but is unable. It is absolutely heart breaking to watch. Walk on foundation made one of my daughters dreams come true. They helped us get her an adapted tricycle so she can ride bike with her sisters. This is also helpful with her physical therapy. They have truly blessed our family and I can't say enough good things about them!

Walk On Foundation has been a blessing in our lives more than words can say. They were very quick getting back to me after my application for assistance was submitted and have just been so wonderful. Without them, my daughter would not have a very important medical device and we would still be living day bay day in fear. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for these wonderful people.

My son is severely autistic and hard of hearing. My son has serious communication problems and Walk On foundation provided us with an IPAD to help improve his communication needs.I am so grateful and humbled by their gift to help improve my son's quality of life. Thank God there are organizations out there like Walk On Foundation to meet peoples needs, I will now be volunteering to help Walk On Foundation out with whatever they need to try to pay it forward, I am thankful to be helped in this way. My son has many serious health conditions, one of them is non verbal autism. He is smart as a whip, he just isn't able to express himself verbally, and this has been so sad and frustrating for us all, especially him. We needed help purchasing a communication app for his iPad that was just more than we could afford. I came across the Walk On Foundation and was blown away by how open they were to help! Asking for help is never easy, and they handled our request with so much dignity and respect. The process was easy and quick. The people with this great org are really in it for all the right reasons...to HELP!!! Thank you to everyone at the Walk On Foundation. We are forever grateful to you for giving our son a "voice!"

This organization works very hard all year to help ppl with medical needs. It operates through fund raising and donations, it is amazing what they do with limited support! I can only imagine what could b done with more funds!

This organization helps many with medical needs. It operates with a team of volunteers who have experienced personally or within their family some kind of medical diagnosis. This team continues to have constant fund raisers inorder to fill needs. This foundation is not like nationally supported organizations, so they operate on a relatively small budget, but always impress with the amount of help they are able to extend to those in need. I truly am thankful for each person who supports this awesome organization.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would love to see them supported by businesses and coorporations so they could fulfil more needs.

This organization is amazing in so many ways. Not only physical needs are met but caring and compassion is given so freely. Eventhough this orgainzation doesn't have a lot of steady funding, they do so much. It is run by individuals that truely understand how health crisis/disabilities effect not only the person diagnosised but their loved ones/friends/community. Keep up the good work, hat off to Walk On!!

This organizations always amazes me. They do so much for so many with little funding. The hearts of each person involved with Walk On are set on others and their needs. So many have been cared for, touched, and helped when no other organization could help. I am truly blessed to know of this organization and its leaders.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have personally seen the results of touched lives.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would like to see Walk On have more funding so that the work they do can grow even more.
