Mission: Walk On Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We will serve to align resources of individuals and corporations to impact the lives of those in our communities by providing assistance with medical equipment, safety devices and financial assistance related to medical hospitalization. Walk On Foundation aims to achieve this mission by: * Awarding grants to individuals and families whose needs meet our mission. * Educating individuals, communities and businesses of our purpose and the need for our services. * Establishing community projects. * Using the power of social networking in order to provide a better life for those dealing with medical crisis, safety hazards, and hospitalizations. * Working along side other non-profit organizations to assist in tasks that are consistent with our mission.

Results: This year we spent a lot of assisting a local family with over $30,000 in medical expenses, over $6000 for an allergen peanut dog, and over $38000 in mobility devices to Haiti, to name just a few.

Target demographics: person and or persons with medical issues that would otherwise not be assisted.

Geographic areas served: Walk On Foundation focuses locally first, but does provide services all over the United States and even some other countries.

Programs: These are all examples, but your donor dollars are stretched to the max and we have a complete file that shows where donor were given and what they were used for.

A few years back our family was experiencing a difficult time with some health issues that had also put us in a financial bind. During that time we had to make a trip out of the area and if it weren't for Walk on Foundation; we would not have ben able to make the trip. We are extremely thankful that this organization was willing to reach out and fill in the gaps that we found ourselves in! Keep up the great work; you are a real blessing!

The Walk on Foundation helped me and my family so much. I was able to see my preemie daughter (24 weeks, 1 lb 10oz) and be so much more involved in her care in the 117 days she spent in the nicu. My daughter is now 14 months and doing amazing! Thank You!

I have two children with numerous medical issues, but one of the big one is Dysautonomia. My children struggle with regulating their own body temperature. My daughter has lymphedema and wears compression garments and struggles with excess heat, my son wears AFOs for balance and walking plus a soft positioning sensory vest. For them wearing all of these garments keep them hot and then add in they can't keep themselves cool like needed; makes for a struggle to enforce these items for their health. Neurologist and Pediarician recommended cooling vests; however insurance didn't cover and with all our normal monthly costs I couldn't fit it in the budget adequately. Walk on foundation is blessing my children with the ability to keep cool during the summer, enjoy going to outdoor events.
Thank you Walk on Foundation.

My son was born in August 2015. He was healthy...then he ended up losing weight...and more weight. He went from 7lb 5oz to an even 6lbs by the end of August. He was admitted to Geisinger's Janet Weis Children Hospital the end of August and they were able to help him regain the weight he lost.
Now, October 2015, he is 9lb 13oz and continues to go to Geisinger quite a bit for various appointments.
Walk On has been a great help in helping us with travel costs.

I have a special needs daughter who wanted to be like her sisters and ride bike with them. She was too big for all the bikes with training wheels. Walk on foundation helped us to get her an adaptive bike. When she got the bike her smile said it all. Walk on foundation is an amazing foundation that helps a lot of local families in need! Thank you walk on foundation for helping us help our daughter to be able to ride bike with her sisters.

The walk on foundation is absolutely amazing! I have a special needs daughter who wants to do what her older sisters do but is unable. It is absolutely heart breaking to watch. Walk on foundation made one of my daughters dreams come true. They helped us get her an adapted tricycle so she can ride bike with her sisters. This is also helpful with her physical therapy. They have truly blessed our family and I can't say enough good things about them!

Walk On Foundation has been a blessing in our lives more than words can say. They were very quick getting back to me after my application for assistance was submitted and have just been so wonderful. Without them, my daughter would not have a very important medical device and we would still be living day bay day in fear. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for these wonderful people.
