The Wachiska Audubon Society has one of its priorities to preserve tallgrass prairie remnants in Southeast Nebraska. The group works diligently to seek out landowners who are interested in partnering with them either to set up permanent conservation easements on the prairie parcels or donating the prairies to be held by Wachiska.
