Vibha stays true to its mission which is to empower, educate and enable every individual who wants to make a difference in the life of an underprivileged child. During the last 5 years that I have been part of this movement, I have been educated about the problems faced by underprivileged children and I have felt empowered to make a difference in their lives. The organization's transparency, focus on action, respect of individuals- these are some of the reasons why I volunteer with this organization every single day.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly, intelligent and sincere about the cause of underprivileged children.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand some its highly successful programs and touch the lives of a million children or more.

Ways to make it better...

I could inspire more people to join this movement.

I have been a volunteer for more than 6 years now. During this time, Vibha has evolved from a non-profit run by volunteers with a passion to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children to a professionally run non-profit with 15 Action Centers in the US and 6 in India. Vibha has reached out to 150,000 children through 190 projects in India and the US to date. All this while remaining a mostly volunteer driven organization. It has been amzaing to see the volunteer growth in the last few years which has brought in new ideas to raise awareness, renewed passion and commitment in our efforts to make a difference. As a volunteer here in the US, I may not personally see how my volunteering efforts benefit projects, but Vibha has bridged the gap by providing project updates(photos and write-ups etc. through newsletters) frequently and encouraging volunteers to visit projects during visits to India.

The Great!

I was fortunate to become a part of Vibha, where every volunteer is a change agent. Working for Vibha not only helps you develop personally, professionally and socially, but also gives you a sense of accomplishment by bringing you closer to the ground level educational projects that it supports across India and the United States. Where else would you get to face and learn from challenges not limited to marketing, fund-raising, event management and project monitoring, coordination, collaboration and execution ? If you want that experience, then come, join us.

I strongly believe that Children are the future of this world. Vibha supports healthcare, education and vocational training for under-privileged kids in India and US. This really motivated me to volunteer for Vibha. I have been volunteering for Vibha for more than 6 years. The reasons for volunteering with Vibha are The Cause, They way how Vibha selects Projects and monitoring method, The Volunteers who are very dedicated and Very Efficient Operation and Fundraising methods with less cost (90 cents on every 1$ raised goes to the project). It's a very professional organization to volunteer with. I'm very proud of spending my time for Vibha and making a difference in a Child's life...

It is important that every child gets the basic facilities of education and a conducive environment to grow up. Vibha is a non-profit dedicated to providing these to under-privileged children in India and US. No words can explain how focussed and goal-oriented this organization is, and hardworking the volunteers are. This organization operates in a very efficient manner and I feel proud and motivated to contribute my best to Vibha

What I love most about Vibha is that it actually enables you to act. I can not blame anyone else any more about the plight of the children. It's as if the magic wand is in my hands and I am asked what will I do for them? I do not see Vibha as just another organization, I see it as a movement - that brings people with various abilities, skills, ideas, interests together and we all improve continuously together for a better world for the children.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has - This Margaret Mead quote has become one of the most commonly used quotes at vibha over the last few years and this mentality has permeated throughout the entire organization. I have been involved with Vibha for almost a decade now and vibha has now become a part of my daily existence. A number of things have attracted me about the organization and kept me motivated over the years. First and foremost, I am amazed by the commitment of the volunteer body. Vibha volunteers battle everything from personal struggles to tough economies to ensure that money is raised for the underprivileged kids that Vibha supports in the US and in India. Secondly, Vibha strong project selection and project monitoring methodologies ensure that the money is being spent on the right and deserving projects and once the money is given to the project, its being utilized in the right way. Vibha also manages to keep a very low administrative overhead, which ensure that approximately 90 cents of every dollar raised reaches the right recipient.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

its project selection and monitoring team. These 2 processes are very well thought out and ensure that the money ends up with the right people and is utilized efficiently.

It is said that children are our future. Vibha strives to give every child an opportunity. I am really happy to be part of such an organization and help make a difference in the lives of children in need. In the past couple of years that I have been with Vibha, I have met some truly amazing people who have surprised me by their dedication and commitment towards the cause. Vibha is entirely a volunteer driven organization which allows them to donate 90 cents of every dollar raised to child development projects. I see Vibha as an organization with huge potential to make a difference. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step!.
