Education regarding animal cruelty.
Vegan outreach (vo) is an animal protection organization whose mission is to prevent violence towards animals. Vo informs people about how a vegan lifestyle can prevent the suffering and death of animals, and the impacts on people's health and the environment. This is accomplished primary through the distribution of our booklets your choice, even if you like meat, compassionate choices, the compassionate athlete, why vegan, and the guide to cruelty-free eating. These booklets are distributed at about 1,000 schools per semester and handed to well over 2 million students per year mostly on college campuses in the u. S. , canada, mexico, australia, and new zealand. Vo also maintains a vegan mentor program which has about 300 mentors and 600 mentees. Vo offers presentations on farmed animal advocacy. Vo has a registered dietitian on staff who gives presentations on vegan nutrition and maintains a well-respected website, veganhealth. Org, which summarizes the research on vegan nutrition. Vo has a weekly e-newsletter that goes to over 11,000 current subscribers and a food and lifestyle blog that goes to over 5,000 subscribers.
