I was a blue water sailor in the Weapons Dept., (ships crew), for eighteen months; from 12/66 to 08/68. Top Gun, Ranger, is one magnificent ship with a heritage next to none, (John Paul Jones was the first Ranger Commanding officer). The fact that someone found out about this site and decided to put Ranger on the map is a great idea. Without the U.S.S. Ranger Museum Foundation doing her best to save Top Gun, all would be lost. We need to get up some pictures and videos and contact more donors to the cause, for without their help, Ranger will be sailing into dire straights. Great job.

I was a board member for many years and I am still telling others, especially carrier Sailors, about the project. The people working to save the ship and bring the museum to fruition are talented and dedicated and hard working. This will be a tremendous asset to Portland and Oregon.

Great bunch of people on the BOD who bust their buns trying to save this great ship. We need money and that is an important thing! It will be a memorial to all who served in the armed forces. Vets should flock to this memorial/museum when open!
