I have been blessed by UYI for many of years directly and indirectly. just recently my 15 year old son had an oppurtunity to spend time with UYI during the retreat. Although he has been in church all his life he has never shared a testimony like he did after the retreat. He told me he experinced the presents of the Holy Spirit. This experence was all becuase of UYI. . The ministry is the best in the nation and should be the model for urban youth ministry around the world. UYi is one of the leading ministry breaking the destructive cycle of poverty, crime, and spiritual bondage in the lives of the youthin the memphis community. Minister Felicia Williams OFBC & JIFF

Clarification from UYWI Staff: This review is discussing the programs of UYI (Urban Youth Initiative), not UYWI (Urban Youth Workers Institute.) UYI is our local ministry partner in the Memphis, TN area. We agree with Felicia; We also appreciate the work and the impact of UYI in Memphis. We're grateful for their partnership hosting RELOAD Memphis. Both organizations share a similar mission to train youth leaders who impact urban youth. We believe that as we continue to partner with UYI to train Memphis-area youth leaders through RELOAD events and other training opportunities, they will continue to grow in their capacity to reach more young people like Felicia's son.
