19 Buck Rd Hanover NH 03755 USA

The Upper Valley Land Trust helps people protect the lands they care about most, including working farms, forested ridges, wildlife habitat, clean water, trails, and scenic views. By providing conservation leadership and practical assistance, UVLT helps individuals and communities secure the mixture of land uses critical to the region''s rural character and the vitality of its community life. Since 1985, UVLT has permanently protected over 400 parcels of land encompassing more than 39,000 acres. UVLT stands committed to the stewardship of these conserved lands for the benefit of present and future Upper Valley residents. UVLT is supported primarily by local contributions from individuals.

Working with landowners who choose to permanently protect the natural resources and scenic values of their land, UVLT uses legally-binding conservation agreements to restrict development while encouraging sustainable uses and wise stewardship. Some conserved lands are also open to the public for recreational enjoyment. Conservation agreements remain in effect, safeguarded by UVLT, as protected property changes hands through the years.
