i was associate with udayan care during my internship of 6 months. i really appreciate the efforts of the team of udayan care. I was really satisfied and touched to see how beautifully a home environment is created for children. It provides good quality of amenities to children and at the same time it takes care of the volunteers working for the cause. to quote an experience which changed my perspective to life was the values imbibed in children by the mentor parents and caregivers. all of them were open to sharing. like in any other family children had difference in opinion but yet they were protective and concerned about each other. udayan care in true sense is successful in creating a well knit "family" for the children. all the best. kudos to you!!

My mother is a mentor mother at one of the homes that Udayan Care runs. It is such a joy to go into this home and witness the transformation in the lives of these little girls through constant love and care. When you walk into the home you are surrounded by laughing, giggling children, excited to see you and show you all they have accomplished. When I heard the stories of these children and the background they came from I'm amazed at the progress they've made and how happy, normal and contented they seem. One story I remember vividly my mother telling me. One 6 year old girl said to her one day that we must have been bad to have been born in our families that treated us so badly. Then she paused for a moment and said, "But we must have done something good to have come across people like you to take care of us and love us". It was such an wonderful testimonial and reward for my mother.
The Great!

the dedication of the staff and the fact that they spend every penny that is donated to their organization for the betterment of these children.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
smart, educated, highly dedicated individuals that take a personal interest in the lives of their charges.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
change the lives of hundreds of children and train them to become confident, contributing members of society.
Ways to make it better...
I had more time during my visits to India to help mentor these children.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
enough dedicated and hard working volunteers to carry on the good work.

I was associated with Udayan Care as an intern roughly for a period of 3 months. During my brief stint at the organisation, I was overwhelmed with the scale of work handled by the members of the team and the dedication each one put to make children smile. It requires a lot of patience and expertise to coordinate the wide range of tasks that the Udayan Care undertakes. My best wishes to the team.

Udyan care is an organisation which can really bring about well being of the underpriviliged children and women. The effort put in by the organisation is exemplary and the homes established by them provides a sense of belonging to the children staying there.Apart from the care, the basic education gives the children the right to live their lives respectably and also fosters a spirit of contributing something to the society.I hope that the organisation will continue to do their good work in the future.

Wishes to the Udayan Care Team! I have been to Udayan Care centres in Sant Nagar and Gurgaon Homes, interacted with children and staff members. The happiness, sense of belonging, care and satisfaction is quite evident on the innocent faces. This is for sure attributed to the sincere efforts of Udayan team in providing quality care, education and food to children. Personal interaction with the Director, Ms. Kiran Modi will speak of her commitment and dedication to the cause of the children. She and her team's efforts needs regular motivation and all good wishes from everyone. I feel so touched that Udayan uses an all 'inclusive' approach towards girls and boys from different social background and diversities...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Its commitment and sensitivity in interacting and listening to children with diverse backgrounds and age
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Professionals who had a great sense of responsibility and clarity on the sensitivity they shall have while being with the organisation...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Open more shelter homes, promote girls education through Udayan Shalini Fellowships and can do a positive change in lives of many disadvantaged children, often abandoned and left to their own fate
Ways to make it better...
The organisation gets an opportunity to make it more visible and expand within and outside India
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Resources, National networks (which I think has more potential to grow), and a wider publicity through media
One thing I'd also say is that...
Bringing in more youth from its own Shelter Homes, building their capacities and promoting them in the organisation itself is very important. Liaison with government in a 'two way process' has to be strengthened

Udayan Care's noble cause is towards transforming the lives of disadvantaged children and women, the organization supports the needful in every possible manner that they can. My experience with Udayan Care was something for which i do not end up rewarding myself that I worked with them as a volunteer. The project carried out by me was to redraft the Human Resource Manual of Udayan Care with the introduction of new procedures; studying the present Human Resource Policies & Udayan Care’s focus on employee requirements. Working with Udayan Care, the most important learning that came across is their potential in terms of skills & capabilities of staff, volunteers and administration. Also, involved was the support given by our very own Managing Trustee, Mrs. Modi, she's gem of a person showcasing her charismatic persona for development of Udayan Care. I would be proud to get associated with Udayan Care in the near future with all my support.

I was so pleasantly surprised to visit & interact with children at Udayan Care. Not only are they well cared for but also truly loved. The children across as very wholesome, happy and carefree. The best thing about Udayan is the emphasis they lay on quality education. All the children go to mainstream schools & colleges. And they lead lives which are very similar to their other classmates...pocket money, weekly outings & even an annual holiday!!! This is probably what prevents these children from growing up with complexes.

Recently, in a meeting, Udayan Care Trustee, Mr. Suresh Neotia said, " Udayan Care does things differently" I think he is absolutely right. Our Rehabilitation Homes for orphaned and abandoned children is just so different. Children get such bonding and family feeing in our LIFE (Living In Family Environment) Homes. Mentored by life time volunteers, children experience family and give back so much love and warmth. Same is Udayan Shalini Fellowship Programme.
